Now Backlash is done and dusted, let's discuss the PPVs greatest matches/moments...
We all know it's known to be the WM rematch PPV but...
The Rock's WWF title win in 2000 will always be my favorite Backlash moment

Also from 2000:
Eddie defending the European Championship while wearing a tux. And the classic Chris Jericho/Chris Benoit match for the intercontinental title (despite the DQ ending)

Same for me. The pop Rock got in the final minutes and post match of that title win rivals any pop from any promotion I've ever heard. The sheer length of the sustained roar after the match was incredible.

Let's extend it to moments involving Backlash:
"I"m not good enough to call BACKLASH?!!"

Most of Backlash 2007 was awesome. The only "bad" match was the 3-on-1 match.
Also Benoit forcing Michaels to tap to the Sharpshooter in Edmonton was pretty cool.

Seriously though when Austin came out in 2000 and cleared house with the chair. Seeing him and Rock celebrating was just great.

This and pretty much Backlash 2009 in general. It's sad to know I have the DVD of the FINAL Backlash. At least it went out with a bang.

Yeah, agreed. Infact the whole of Backlash 04 was pretty good and remains my favourite Backlash ever. I thought the Benoit/HHH/HBK match was better than the match at WMXX.

Definitely the Rock v Triple H at Backlash 2000 as you said in the OP. One of my favourite matches ever - just perfectly executed and, although predictable, the pop for when Austin comes out and then for when the Rock wins is just glorious stuff.

"Where to Stephanie?"
I've got to give a mention to the ending sequence in the Cena vs Edge vs Orton vs HBK match from 2007.

When you think about it Backlash was pretty awesome. I don't think there was ever a truly bad Backlash PPV in the 10 years it was going.

I remember laughing out loud at Backlash '01 when Rhyno gored himself through the shopping cart then Raven started beating it with the sink.

I thought Edge/Benoit will always be an underrated Last Man Standing match from the 2005 iteration, as well as Benjamin/Jericho.
Also, who can forget Edge/HHH/Cena from 06, especially when HHH destroys everyone after the bell to LOUD cheers!

And who can forget the fine WWE got for breaking several rules set in place by the Kentucky State Athletic Commission?

Also, who can forget Edge/HHH/Cena from 06, especially when HHH destroys everyone after the bell to LOUD cheers! xD I remember that, I also remember how Cena won with some sort of roll-up maneuver and JR was like, "He won with a WRESTLING move, I repeat, JOHN CENA just WON with a WRESTLING move!"
