My mom, who doesn't even watch usually ws watching a bit and asked if he used a body double when he took the superkick. The way he was just barely in frame and you couldn't see his face when he took it made me wonder the same thing. Anyone know any more about it then I do?

I doubt it. Most performers in the WWE that appear on camera at least know how to take a bump, and Teddy Long has been around long enough to know how.

Teddy's been a ref, so I'd assume he knows how to bump. He's done it before.

Well Carlito caught him, so I doubt they'd use a stunt double if that was the case.

Although Teddy is getting up in the years, he has been both a referee and a manager, two roles in wrestling that require some knowledge of taking bumps. I would not be surprised in the least if he took the kick on his own.

More to the point, Teddy used to be a heel manager. I guarantee he has learned how to take a bump. Part of the fun of heel managers came when the face finally got their hands on the guy.

Normally I wouldn't think so, since yeah most guys on camera can take a bump, just thought it looked like the camera was purposely trying to make sure you can't clearly see him.

Well, if it had been fully filmed Teddy would have had to take the bump onto concrete. I think someone his age probably should not take bumps onto concrete anymore.

I'm also sure Teddy can take a bump if they made Jim Ross do a blade job and get destroyed by Triple H. Teddy Long is more physically fit.

Carlito kept getting closer and closer during the promo with HBK and Teddy.
Was Stan (from "I kicked Stan" fame) Gavin Spears? It looked kind of like him

It's not like it was a difficult spot. Shawn whiffed on the kick, Teddy fell back into Carlito's arms, Carlito fell gingerly to the floor.

Will this lead to a DX vs. Teddy Long and Carlito match?
