So, who's the best generational wrestler today? My opinions on them all...
David Hart Smith: Has it all to be a big star someday. The ring skills, the look, the attitude, the mic skills, the background. I think this man is the best generational wrestler today. He reminds me alot of a taller Chris Benoit in the ring.
Ted DiBiase: Somewhat lacks mic skills, but is pretty solid in the ring. I think Rhodes is the better half of Legacy however.
Randy Orton: I would have said him a few years back, but I just don't think it anymore. He seems to be focusing more on his gimmick during the match, than putting on a good match. Whether it be his forced facial expressions, his snake like taunts, whatever. He became too slow and boring in the ring since he became "The Viper".
Chavo Guerrero: Is past his prime but definitely still has it. It's a shame he doesn't get to show it more though, last week he did amazingly well in that Triple Threat with Chris Masters and Primo on superstars. I think he's Eddie Guerrero without the charisma.
Finlay: Like Chavo, is past his prime but can still have a great match. He's very old school with his brawling/technical style but is probably best at putting new guys over. I'd love to see him win the IC title before he retires however.
Cody Rhodes: Is the better half of Legacy without a doubt IMO. The only thing that is not going for him is his size, but he's got everything DiBiase has and more IMO. He's got a bright future and I can see him as a future US Champion.
Slam Master J: His gimmick restricts his wrestling ability but he's one of the better guys definitely. He's the son of Terry Gordy of the Fabulous Freebirds, I'd probably repackage him one more time as Jesse Gordy with Michael "PS" Hayes as his manager.
Carlito and Primo: I feel Carlito is better but Primo is also very good. Carlito at one point had a VERY bright future, but now I'm not too sure. Carlito is definitely one of my favourite guys to watch nowadays though.
With that said, I'm picking David Hart Smith as the best all around generational wrestler today. Thoughts?
