So Kane and Taker are teaming up next week..
I hope this somehow builds towards a WM match between them.

Maybe. When they are on the show it seems that it is only a matter of time before they start some kind of relationship or feud. There was a "dream" situation posted last week or a couple of weeks ago about Undertaker's last match should be a Wrestle Mania Hell in a Cell versus Kane. Kane apparently is thinking of retiring; so the consenses was that this match would be a great way to close both of their careers.

I read a Kane interview on IGN.com several months ago and he mentioned that he would like to team up with the Undertaker for a while, so maybe he will get what he wants.
I would prefer this to the Undertaker facing every champion and somehow getting screwed out of winning the belt each time.

The Undertaker will have to use at least (checks WM 14 for reference) three tomb stones to put Kane away.

I can see them holding the tag team titles on Smackdown. I don't know. Both of them don't like to slow young talent down.

The only time I really liked the Taker/Kane team was early 2001. With Biker Taker and Kane as the silent follower. I mean when Kane kidnapped Steph was great.
Regal- Please, put her down. Taker- You heard her, bring her down (Kane about to throw her off balcony) Regal- NO NO STOP!

Kennedy vs Taker was a very back on fourth match that showed that a rookie can hang with the best.

If the Brothers go on a tag-team run, it could help people pay attention the the division. How to get the belts off of the Hooligans, however, is a problem.

Even the Deadman himself said it, "I will make you famous." And he did! The only thing more thrilling than the Brothers of Destruction being on the same show is having a closure match at 'Mania.

Kane and Taker has been done at mania TWICE. The first time was very memorable due to the fact the the Undertaker had to FIGHT Kane when he was dead against it. The second time was memorable because the Undertaker made his return as the UNDERTAKER, not the biker. The third time should be a HEEL Taker vs. a FACE Kane. That's different, but how to pull it off?

He'll make everyone he faces look good, but he won't let them beat him. It elevates young guys, and still let's 'Taker keep his mystical status.

I'm not sure I want to see another Taker-Kane feud.
Unless they both retire after an epic match with tons of cheap special effects ;D

I'd like that. It'd be different to any of their other matches, and would be one of Taker's rare WrestleMania appearances as a heel. His first since Mania 15, I believe? If it happened, it should only be in a HIAC match- the first HIAC at a Wrestlemania, and Undertaker's speciality, Kane shold go over to end the Undertaker's Wrestlemania legacy to finish a 9 year storyline, and Taker retires. Kane could then retire like he wants to or continue for a while.

WM15 was a HIAC wasnt it?

^ Against Big Boss Man? Oh yeah, but....fine then. Say it's the 2nd HIAC at Wrestlemania, and put over the fact that Kane's only ever had 1 singles HIAC before, against Mankind, and 1 tag HIAC, so he's less experienced than Undertaker.

I somehow doubt that would happen. I recall reading somewhere that Calloway already offered his streak to Jacobs, who proceeded to refuse the offer. Sad, because in the WWE today only Kane or perhaps Edge would make sense to end the streak. Though, in the end, I think more people would be happy to see Taker retire with the streak intact.
BTW, does anyone know how far in advance this was planned? Was Taker always supposed to have this sort of luck at WM, or did creative eventually just realize they had something and decided to run with it?
