You lookin' happily deranged
It's odd what pops in your head while you're waiting to leave work. For some reason I just started humming this and thinking of this show.
Also, I never realized what they were saying until today until I looked up the theme and saw a version with lyrics. I heard it completely differently.

FREAKING LOVE THIS SONG!!!
To me, the lyrics have always seemed...well..dark, for an otherwise upbeat song.

Hey smilin' strange You're looking happily deranged I could've settled if you shoot me Or have you picked your target yet?
Hey Sandy dontcha talk back Hey Sandy
From four feet away End of speech it's the end of the day We was only funnin' But guiltily I thought you had it coming
I always thought the "dontcha talk back" line was "does your dog bite"
Great show.

Count me in as someone who completely misheard the lyrics as a youngster. For the longest time I thought they were singing "Or have you bitten the dog again"
(Actually it's "Or have you picked your target yet")

Count me in as someone who completely misheard the lyrics as a youngster. For the longest time I thought they were singing "Or have you bitten the dog again" (Actually it's "Or have you picked your target yet") I thought that too, but it was at the end of a giant string of misinterpretation "It's kind of strange you looking at the leafy range I would said what you said Or have you bit the dog again? He said Ai ya ya ya Go bye a ya ya"

Dammit! The proper lyrics should be hidden as spoilers! Way to rape my childhood! The lyrics are "Does your dog bite? It in me." It's very deep. Anything else is unacceptable.
