It's so rare to find people who share my interests but WC usually has a handful of people who are into everything. Any other KOEI fans? I've spent thousands of hours, most likely, on their games over the years. You know you love a series when you can still play it for a month straight even though you've put it to heavy use for years and years. I'm talking about the RTK series by the way.
Any huge fans here, what games are your favorites?
I own:
Romance Of The Three Kingdoms IV Romance Of The Three Kingdoms VII Romance Of The Three Kingdoms VIII Romance Of The Three Kingdoms IX Romance Of The Three Kingdoms X Dynasty Warriors 4 Dynasty Warriors 5 Legend of Cao Cao Legend of Lu Bu (fan mod, but it rules) Colosseum: Road to Freedom
I love the history behind the DW/RTK/Legend series, which is probably why I stuck with them for so long.
I've been playing Dynasty Warriors 5 for the past we days, probably the favorite in the DW series that I've played. Just started the Sun Quan Musou Mode, trying to figure out how to unlock the rarer items. ;D
Any three kingdoms history buffs?

Seeing as I'm more or less the Koei spokesperson/shill on this forum, I think I belong in here.
Not a big fan of the Rot3K games, but I've probably gotten more mileage out of all of Koei's games with the word "Warriors" in it than every other game I own COMBINED.

I absolutely love VIII. For some reason I haven't been able to get into VII or any of the ones after it.
I think it's X that has the absolutely hilarious debates?

Let's see, I have:
*DW3 *DW4 *DW5: Empires *DW6 *DW6: Empires *Warriors Orochi 2 *Dynasty Tactics (really underrated series IMO) *Dynasty Tactics 2
Every now and then, I'll get right back into one of my older DW/Tactics games and wonder why I stopped playing it in the first place. ;D
Never played any of the RotTK games, though.

"It is the way of the Zen!" *is knocked further down the bridge* They had those in 11 also. Hilarious at times. It's really fun to ignore what the other person says because then they get so pissed.

"It is the way of the Zen!" *is knocked further down the bridge* The debates are pretty cool. Hell Yeah! 8 is by far my favorite, the first one I owned. I swear I wonder how that game didn't break my PS2, I've put so many hours on it. 7 is kind of weird to get into after spending years on 8. I put it back on the shelve for the longest time, once you give it a fair shot though it's really fun as well. That's what makes the RTK series so great, every game is completely different but amazing in what it does. It keeps it alive, honestly if every game after 8 was exactly the same it would have probably killed it for me. I have times when it's the only game I'll play for a month, and then when I get tired of it I just put play another in the series. Once you get used to them they're all great. What's your favorite character to play as? I always play my custom but I used the be a huge Wu fan. (If my name wasn't a hint) I like to pick different spots to freshen it up, but I usually start in the Wu area. The only down side is that no matter where I start or with who, I always know I'm going to win. Even if I completely stack the odds against myself, if I survive the first year or two it's a sure thing. It's really rare if I finish a game anymore. I just stop playing and start over. (Holy crap I use "I" a lot. ) Do you know a lot of the secret events/items?

I always start with my custom, and begin in the Nan Zhong region for some reason. Probably because of the defenses. Place is a quagmire.
But before I settle down I gather a traveling band and a ton of money through fighting bandits. I have a terrible tendency to run out of money quickly when I start building my state.
One game I made the mistake of killing everyone who betrayed me. Even had a list. I still won but there were a few attempts on my life.

I love these games. I own:
Dynasty Warriors 2 Dynasty Warriors 3 and XL Dynasty Warriors 4 and XL Dynasty Warriors 5 and XL Dynasty Warriors 6 (quite disappointing, sadly)
Samurai Warriors 2, XL, and Empires Warriors Orochi 1 and 2
I'm playing Dynasty Warriors 3 right now and can really see why people see it as the best in the series. Got Lu Meng and Zhang He's lvl 4 weapons today.
My favorite character in Dynasty Warriors is Zhang Liao, and Date Masamune in Samurai Warriors.

Count me in! I've played:
DW2 DW3 (had it on Xbox one time) DW3: XL DW4 (had it) DW5 (have it) DW5: Empires (have it) SW1 SW2: Empires (have it) WO2 (have it)
Odd that I haven't gotten the first Warriors Orochi yet...
As for other Koei games:
All 3 Kessen games:
First one was HARD. Second was was no doubt THE BEST. Third one was average at best.
Of the ROTTK games, I only played either 7 or 8. Can't remember exactly the one I remember.

Love these games. Wish I could get ROTK VIII again, it was my favorite in the series, but I parted ways with it a long time ago.

I played Genghis Khan and Genghis Khan 2; The Clan of the Grey Wolf, which I did defeat (Hint: Play as Japan). Yeah, you want a game where you need to use your imagenation, try the NES era games.

Own and LOVE:
Dynasty Warriors 3 Dynasty Warriors 4 Dynasty Warriors 5 Dynasty Warriors 8
My favorite game is probably Dynasty Warriors 4 because you could make your own character (a feature that I always enjoy). My favorite character has always been Wei Yan because of all the godly Darth Maul type stuff he had (in 3-5 anyway...). I was devastated when they turned Wei Yan into a hammer using dork in 6. He seemed so slow and miserable in that game.

I recently played Wei Yan on DW5, he's great to play as. Fast and does radial attacks. I love radial Musou moves more importantly. Sun Quan does a great lightning thing with his True Musou.
The worst I've played so far I have to say is Zhuge Liang. His Musou is terrible. It only shoots in a narrow band, and only part of it ever fully connects with a target. If you hit someone with the two first projectiles they fly off and the main burst completely misses them. Even if I spin in circles while it's active it will still miss half the crowd and leave them within close counter distance.
