On the Virtual Console that is. For past fews I've heard alot talk about Turbografx and Neo Geo consoles and now that I've got a buttload of spare Wii points I figured now would be a perfect opportunity to see if either machine was any good. Now the problem is that both consoles were never released in New Zealand so I've got no idea what games to buy. So what are the best games for either console? ?

I dunno if it's available in New Zealand but there's "SNK Arcade Classics" for the Wii that has damn near every one of the worthwhile VC Neo-Geo games and it's only about $15.
If not, I always liked Baseball Stars 2, but the controls take some getting used to as far as fielding goes. It's entirely possible to end up throwing to an empty base and it hitting the backstop. You will get your ass kicked the first few times, but once you learn it it's an AWESOME baseball game that kills any baseball game on the Genesis or SNES not called Triple Play 96 (which to me is the greatest sports game ever).
King of Fighters 94 is good if you got classic controllers. If not, screw that. No other controller works even remotely good on that.
Don't be fooled by anything Metal Slug. Apparently the VC versions have some major slowdown problems, and where you store it makes no difference. There is also a Metal Slug collection that goes cheap now as well. If you're even thinking about Metal Slug 1 AND 2, then just get the collection since it has those and X, 3, 4, 5, and 6 which I highly doubt will ever see the light of day on the VC...this slowdown issue might be an American thing though, or maybe it's even fixed now. I just remember early reports of Metal Slug 1 being horrendously bogged by slowdown to points of unplayability.
Turbo-Graphx...all I have is Bomberman 93 (good if you like Bomberman, otherwise skip it) and Galaga 93, which if you even REMOTELY enjoy the original arcade Galaga this is a must-own-this-very-minute. Having dual paths, scrolling levels, triple ships, starting a round with dual ships already, it's just awesome.

^^^ SNK Arcade Classics is available over here and I can order it in cheep at work so thanks.
Though I have no intrest in purchasing Metal Slug on the VC as there is a 3 in 1 Mega Slug SNK machine at my work.
