Yeah, some of this is ridiculous. I get the point they're trying to make. But some of it is just stupid.
For growing children (and even adults), you should NOT try to cut out fats completely from their diets. The brain needs fats. Namely those from sunflower, sesame and corn oils and also from some nuts and fish like tuna) to keep the brain running well. After all, the brain is made up of over half fat.
For as many people who are deemed too ignorant for not caring there are those who are ignorant themselves for caring without knowing.

After seeing the outcome of "let the parents decide," I've decided that this approach utterly fails. And I don't think children need to be punished by their parents failing at their jobs.

I think this is absolutely right. Back when I was a kid I always went to McDonalds just for the toys and now that I am older I can say that this is a great desicion.

Kids don't get in the car, drive over to McDonalds, and pay their own money to get a Happy Meal. Of course I wanted a Happy Meal every day when I was a kid, but I got one maybe 2 or 3 times a year. Congratulations to this county. They've taken the Happy out of Happy Meal. This is insane. When they're regulating what we can eat, we're in big trouble. That slope is getting more slippery every day.

That slope is getting more slippery every day. Exactly and what these people have to understand is the fast food isn't going to go away no matter how hard you try, it's going to be around forever. As I said I really hope this doesn't catch on, because if it does it's pathetic. Guess what back when I was a kid I wanted every food and product with a cartoon character on it and I wanted McDonald's every day, but I had parents who said "no", and that's a word that needs to be learned by some parents now if they can't just say that to their kids. Honestly the parent is the enabler here, so why don't we look at them first instead of using McDonald's as almost a scapegoat?

When I was a kid, I got to go to McDonalds maybe, MAYBE once a month. Because my Mom was a good parent.
I'm a fat guy because I have no willpower. But dammit, my kids are not going to be fat because I'm going to take care of them and watch what they eat.

Simple solution: start selling the toys for a penny. Harder solution: tell the county government with your vote not to undermine your parental authority ever again.
For the record, I usually avoid McDonald's like the plague when it comes to my son. I've taken him there once, and he's 4. He goes to visit his mother, she takes him at least once a week. The toys suck anyway. Nowhere near as good as when I was a kid.

The thing is, it is proven that meat fats are useless to human since our body produces the unsaturated fats and thesae are more than enough. I agree that fats are necessary though. Saturated fat is not.
