and not know it until after?
I guess I met Lupe Fiasco last weekemd. I had no idea what he looked like. We had some people under the group name Fiasco check into the hotel I work at. I knew they were with some kind of rap group. I saw the next day that he was in town the night before. I just looked up his real name and pictures of him and appparently I was talking to him. He was the one taking care of the whole group, Everyone in the group was nice and polite even though whoever made the reservations messed them up and had the wrong names for the wrong rooms. He polietly asked if I could change the names and get it organized. He said thank you when I did it. His group was in and out of the lobby and stopped and talked about random stuff. They never said who they were and he didn't throw a fit at the mistake we made.
Also one time I was at a festival and Badfish was playing at a seperate part of the place where you had to but a seperate ticket. My friend and I walked up to this group of guys and asked if they knew where we had to buy the tickets from. They kind of gave us a weird look and apologized for not knowing. We found the place to get tickets and got in a llittle early so we were right up front. The band comes out and the bass player was one of the guys we had talked to. He saw us up front and looked at us with this grin on his face and kind of laughed.
So have you ever met someone only to find out later they are a celebrity?

I met Anthony Munoz when I was about 6. Dude looked enormous to me. Of course, he was an offensive tackle, and widely considered one of the best ever, so that's nothing I wouldn't expect.
Aside from that, I brokered a mortgage for Ted Nugent's cousin once. That's about it.

My co-worker and her boyfriend ran into Benecio Del Toro in Central Park and she didn't even know who he was. Her boyfriend did and they sat and talked for well over an hour. She said he was a very nice guy.
Edit: Years ago, when I worked for the Y, a co-worker of mine who was a gym supervisor saw man walking across the gym (towards the exist) wearing a pair of cowboy boots. He yelled at the guy and said what's a matter with you? Don't you know it's forbidden? The guy said sorry and my co-worker turned away. He looked back and there was the damn guy still walking on the gym floor, heading towards the exit. So he yelled at him again. Once again the guy apologized and said he was heading for the exit and would be quickly gone.
Turns out it was Randy Travis. My co-worker felt like he wanted to crawl under a rock after he found out who it was.
