If you like him, that is. If not, feel free to speak your mind as well. Nothing wrong with opposing viewpoints.
In any case, my favourite era is the Omega/Mechanical Animals era. I love the glam influences, and I just think the music was the best on that album, along with the concept. Just outstanding stuff.
So how do you feel?

Wait...what? No love for the "Portrait Of An American Family"/"Smells Like Children" era?
That was my personal favorite.

Well, that was included in the "and the Spooky Kids" era. I dunno why I didn't separate those albums out...but y'know.

While I hardly listen to him anymore, I still have lots of love for the Antichrist Superstar era. Creepy sounding music that fit the image he had at the time.

It's between Anti-Christ Superstar and Mechanical Animals, when every parent in America was going up in arms about him.

Well, that was included in the "and the Spooky Kids" era. I dunno why I didn't separate those albums out...but y'know. For me, the Spooky Kids ended in 1992. "Portrait..." was released in 1994. I designate between the two eras, as the music did change. Ever so slightly. Listen to a song like "Suicide Snowman". Then listen to something like, say, "Wrapped In Plastic" or "Get Your Gunn". The change in personal style is also there. Especially during the "Smells Like Children" era where he REALLY let his Willy Wonka fetish flag fly. Watch the "Dope Hat" video for further proof. Also, I had no idea Mark Chaussee was in the touring band for a year (2004-05). He was also in Danzig and FIGHT. Rob Halford's post-Judas Priest band. He's awesome.

Easily Mechanical Animals, mainly for the glam reasons already cited.

Surprisingly, the Eat Me, Drink Me era. I like that he stripped away the bombast and spectacle and wrote a personal, emotional album, but filtered through Manson-esque sensibilities. I think it was the most real of his albums.
Jed Shaffer ~And since they all tell one unified story, I'd put Antichrist, Mechanical and Holy in one era.

Yeah, the overarching story is pretty awesome, but since they're so vastly different, I prefer to separate them out. And yeah, Eat Me, Drink Me isn't my favourite of his albums, but I loved it. I don't really understand why people thought it was so terrible, other than the fact that it was different from most of his work.

It's between Anti-Christ Superstar and Mechanical Animals, when every parent in America was going up in arms about him. Including my parents haha. Agreed, this was when he was on fire.
