and ended up enjoying it? A few days ago I was getting ready to leave and had on ABC Family and 'Mr. Magoriums Magic Emporium' or something to that effect was on, and after I watched about 15 minutes I liked it and ended up watching the whole thing. One reason was for the gorgeous Natalie Portman, but it actually was a pretty good move, a little silly, but good.
So has anybody else ever just turned on a movie and really enjoyed it?

The Cat in The Hat (surprisingly) and Norbit this past week. I had the lowest expectations for these, and I was actually entertained by them.

I was watching a movie (forget what) on one of the movie channels that I'd wanted to see. Afterwards, Nell came on and I was too lazy to get up or change the channel. I ended up really enjoying it and even cried a bit (which was the first time I'd ever cried during a movie that I could remember).

Mean Girls. My brother's girlfriend said we should watch it, so I sat and watched it with the lowest of expectations, and ended up really enjoying it, thinking it was a lot smarter than it needed to be. Then I found out Tina Fey wrote it, and it made sense.

Fight Club. I got dragged to that movie, and my first reaction was, "I don't wanna watch another fighting movie. I don't even like martial arts."
Needless to say I was wrong. And blown away.

My family and I were watching a Yogi Bear movie in the theater and the film screwed up in the middle of it so we were allowed to see Good Burger if we wanted to and we ended up watching it.

Back in 2005, we were planning to see High Tension, but at the last minute, we went to see Mr. & Mrs. Smith. It was a better than I expected, and probably the last time that I would never be aware of films that came out of nowhere.

I was watching some movie and started playing computer games during it. After that movie, Lars and the Real Girl came on. I looked at the description in the satellite guide and thought that it wasn't my type of movie. But I soon stopped playing the game and gave it my total attention. I was blown away with how good the movie was, and it's not even my usual cup of tea.

I worked in a video store for 8 years so I watched a lot of things I hadn't planned on seeing.
And Grendel, a similar instance happened with me and the same movie. I was napping and left the tv on and when I woke up Lars and The Real Girl was on.

Crash. Yeah, I like it. Deal with it. Same. Saw it around the time it came out and absolutely loved it. I don't really understand the hate for it at all.

A friend of mine lent me his copy of Star Trek last week. I've never seen anything of Star Trek before but the movie was awesome.
