I love my IPhone. Some people complain about dropped calls, but I've never had that problem. One thing I would say thought, is that the battery life leaves a lot to be desired. If you're using it just for calls and as an Ipod it's fine, but if you're using the browser or using an app it drains pretty fast.
Also, I have an Iphone 3G and I can't use multiple apps at one time, but I'm sure you're getting a 3GS and I think Apple is releasing an update this summer that lets you have multiple apps going at once.

I'm madly in love with my 3G. The biggest downside to the phone is the battery life, especially how much of a hog some apps are. If you turn down brightness, turn off 3G and WiFi, you get a good long life out of it. AT&T's service is pretty meh for the most part. Lots of dropped calls, but they're working on it. Consult their web site to check coverage in your area first. Other than that....it's amazing. You won't regret it....unless you don't get a screen protector

Android phone says "hey, I can already do this". Battery life is pretty much a major issue for all smart phones. It's not really too bad as long as you get into the routine of charging it every night and learning how to conserve the battery and be frugal in terms of what you do with it. For the time being it's just what we have to put up with as a result of having so much processing power in a phone.
