Continuing WC Opinions (and I really wish I had a graphic, but I can't find just the WrestleCrap logo that I can alter a bit anywhere on the internet. If anybody has just the logo it'd be much appreciated), and this one is a doozy and I can't wait to hear some opinons on.... Music group 'Nickelback' The whole point of WC Opinions is to find people/music groups/events that really don't have a middle ground, either you love them or you hate them and Nickelback falls right into this. Often criticized of being one of the worst bands going today and having every song sound the same, it's obvious Nickelback has their critics, but WrestleCrap, what's your opinion on Nickelback? EDIT - Nevermind I found a WC logo to work with

There are no words in the English language to illustrate the depth and intensity of my hatred for that band. None.
Perhaps if you had a three hundred page tome that consisted of nothing but profanity and descriptions of brutal violence broken up with pictures of mushroom clouds you'd get close.

I dislike them so much I can't even get mad anymore. I'd be a cold day in hell before I turned to them for music. They suck so much they're not even worth a long post.

Does "indifferent" count as an opinion? My life would be no different if they would have never existed or had been even more successful. I've heard a few of their songs and felt nothing towards what I heard.

honestly I'm kinda in the middle ground on this. Nickelback has some ok/good songs but as a whole I think they're just mediocre at best

Choad (seewhatididthere) Kroeger and his band of faux-stonerz have wormed their way into North America's collective conscious for far too long. I'm never one for genocide or evil slaughter but if I can coin the term "Band-o-cide" for these chaps I may just enjoy my eternity roasting in Hades

The very first song I ever heard by them sounded decent at the time ("Breathe"), but all the unmitigated soundalike crap with awful lyrics that they've put out since then has even ruined THAT song for me.
The Tea Party (despite breaking up years ago) is my Canadian band of choice.

I actually enjoy Creed, although I'm not a fan or own any if their albums. They had some good catchy popular songs, and they didn't all sound exactly the same. Also no Creed = no Alter Bridge, think about that!

Nickelback puts on a fantastic live show. By all accounts they are said to be some of the most geunine people in rock music today. Jerry Cantrell talked about touring with them when he was doing his solo album and he said that everything they go out on stage and say about loving the fans and what they do is true. They're one of those bands that got huge and became cool to hate so people jumped on the bandwagon. Then people claim they have always hated them yet are un aware thatthey had albums before Silver Side Up and other haters I've talked to have never even heard of that album.
I like them. I've seen them in concert twice and would go see them again.

honestly I'm kinda in the middle ground on this. Nickelback has some ok/good songs but as a whole I think they're just mediocre at best Same. I liked a few of their songs (Rockstar, Never Again and a couple of more obscure ones) and the rest of their songs don't make want to stab my ear drums with a pair of scissors (Except for Photograph. I f***ING HATE THAT SONG!). They're just a very mediocre band that has the occasional okay song to me

They're the John Cena of rock bands. Take that however you may.

They were my first concert, on their Silver Side Up tour. I like that album, and, while I wouldn't listen to...well, any of their other stuff (it really is pretty bad), I'll always have a soft spot for them 'cos they put on a helluva show.

I really don't know much about them because I listen to old country music (old music in general) so I can't offer an opinion about them.

I liked 'Rockstar', and still do partly. They're not exactly the Beatles, but for what they do they're okay, I guess.
