We use to have them all the time in my hometown of Smithville. About once a year there for about a decade we'd have one in our area. Haven't had one in awhile. We get our water elsewhere so only a few times have we had to worry about it when it was announced. We got out of school each time it would happen so that was cool.

I've never even heard of a boil-water order until now.
But that sucks, dude. Hopefully they get things sorted out quick.

I can't even get my f***ing coffee this morning?!?!?!??!?!?!?! They're not serving it at Dunkin' Donuts because of the water problem!!! A mailman without caffeine is a dangerous thing!

Oh, it probably won't lead to anything too bad... *stealthily takes your gun away while you're distracted with bitching about the coffee*

That sucks a lot. There was something similar here in the Philippines a year ago during the typhoon. No water for bathing or drinking for at least a day or so, and I had to haul a several buckets of water uphill when the water truck-thing passed by. My back and arms was not happy at all.

Sounds like a good excuse to get blind, stinkin' drunk. "It's the only thing I knew was safe to drink officer"
