Who would win a fight between to the two? I would go with the Terminator. He just seems more agility and better. The only thing I can think of that would help Robocop out is that he could fly (but that was help with a add-on).

If Frank Miller taught us anything, it's that Robocop has the ability to defeat not only the Terminator, but all of Skynet as well.

Ok, apparent sudden addition of a comic book aside, how does movie Robocop not die painfully at the hands of Terminator?

You know I get sick of it whenever people act like Robocop can't beat a Terminator. First of all, humans routinely beat the Terminators in the movies and during the war despite being vastly inferior. If humans can defeat them I know good and damn well RoboCop can.
Humans beat Terminators with critical thinking and ingenuity. Terminators beat humans with raw strength and calculating intelligence.
Guess what? Robocop posses the best of both worlds. He has the strength, accuracy and quick data processing of a Terminator with all of the ingeniuity and critical thinking of a human.
On top of that, people always forget that Robocop can be agile when needed. It's shown he can avoid ROCKETS, easily dodge speeding things like cars and have quick enough reflexes to grab fleeing enemies and even speeding motorcycles. I think people confuse Robo's Stand-By mode of getting around, where he doesn't NEED to be nimble and agile because he's a walking tank and therefor doesn't even attempt to get out of the way of certain things, for being ALL that he can do.

I think Robocop would hold his own against the T-800 and the T-X, but the T-1000 would screw his crap up.

On a side note, I have a 12 year old cousin who doesn't know what a terminator is. In this day and age, how does anybody know what a terminator is???

I voted Robocop. If they updated him as they've done with the Terminator...people would see how much faster and agile he probably could actually be. Couple that with the robotic computer and human brain working in perfect unity, and I'd say 99% of the terminators are going down. (Yea...even T-1000...if Robocop can manuver him into a vat of fire or whatever, and I think he can, T-1000 goes down eventually.)

If Robo brought that huge gun from the first movie, he would kick ALL of the Terminators asses. Even the liquid one.

Assuming that neither Magnus the Robot Fighter, nor Future Trunks, nor the Matrix bots are in the competition, because any of them would win. And assuming that the Clonetroopers from Star Wars, who fight and kill lots of robots, because as Jango Fett clones, killing is like breathing to them. And let’s say for a moment that the Wolverine does not take part in the war, because he’d still be alive. And the Robot war takes place after the death of Batman. I would have to say the Robocop. Well, and Lore, because Lore seems like someone who would always win. I mean, how do you beat evil Data anyways? In any case, all the Terminators suck in their primary mission, which is to kill Sarah Connor. In addition, large numbers of them keep getting reprogrammed. I mean, Apes do a better job of conquering humanity than the Terminators do. However, here is the real rub, the Terminators lose to what is basically Mad Max and friends in the deserts of California. Think about it. Do you know how much trouble John Connor has to give you to go through the effort of inventing time travel to kill him? That’s how far the machines were willing to go. At least the robots in the Matrix struck upon the logical means to kill humans, build more robots. The Terminators must have tried that, so it did not work. Now, granted, the Machines had some time to build up a base at City Zero-One, whereas the terminators were fighting from day one. Two, Robocop has an exoskeleton, which is superior to endoskeletons in armor and strength, but not agility. In addition, who cares about agility, when you have homing rockets? Three, Robocop is a Cyborg. While Cyborgs usually cannot survive without their biological parts, a cybernetic brain is superior to a purely mechanical one. So I go for Robocop, on the grounds of Cyborgs are superior to Robots, and the Terminators suck at life.
In case anyone is wondering, Magnus the Robot Fighter will be a ninja with metal in his hands. And he has mastered real ultimate power.
