It's almost time for me to update my phone, and I'm tempted to get the Droid. Is it any good? I had a college buddy that has it and he really likes it.

I just got mine recently, and it's a very fun phone. You can get it for $20 on Amazon with a new service plan, it's a great deal.

Personally, I think the Droid Incredible is a better phone, but I've yet to meet someone who hated their Droid.
If you want a phone in a similar vein and are willing to switch providers, you might want to look into the HTC EVO 4G, available on Sprint starting June 4th.

From what I've heard, the only things I've heard against it is the weight, the slightly wonky keyboard, and, on the Incredible, the short battery life (the report I read said that it should work for about 4 hours of talktime, but using apps cuts down the time considerably). However, all that said, those are minor things and I've heard nothing but rants about it. I'd like to get one if I could afford the plans. I think it's a sound phone.
