I was thinking about it today, and I was wondering if anybody else was a fan of Kurt Angle winning all of the titles a couple of years back? IMO that was a great storyline, but did anybody else like it at all?

I hated it. That was around the peak of Total Nonstop Angle and, drove me away from the show. Looking back it has some interesting parts (Angle Family Thanksgiving) but, still not at the top of my good times ladder.

I didnt hate the fact that they put the belts on him, I hated how it happened. Hard Justice 07 was such a piss poor PPV, with an ending that everyone saw coming that just made Joe look like an idiot. People like to point at Angle's entry into the company and his first trio of matches as what stopped Joe's momentum. But going into Hard Justice, Joe was as over as ever, and was X Div and Tag Champ. THAT match killed his momentum.
So yea, I honestly dont mind that they put the belts on him - he lost em all in a 2 month span anyway. I just hate the fact that they killed one of their best stars momentum by making him look like a total schmuck to do it.

Yeah Hard Justice didn't do wonders for Joe, I had forgotten to take that into consideration. I wonder what they would have done with Angle had Joe won that match? A World Title rematch? A rematch for all the belts? But yeah he did lose them pretty quick, but the storyline was something different for a while if nothing else. ;D EDIT - Hey Comahan, who is that in your sig?

I didn't like it, but Kurt did put over Jay Lethal cleanly for the X-Title at the next PPV.
Didn't Sting end up being Angle's tag parter, after winning a match for the right to be his partner or something? Then if I remember correctly, the Sting/Angle quarreling champions is what led to Team Pacman winning the tag championships.

Which in turn led to Consequences Creed being hired, and AJ/Tomko as Tag Champs.

No. Logically, the storyline was about Joe wanting the TNA title, and all the time he spent working his way to the top, after all the matches he had prior to this against Kurt, this was the one where the storyline said "Joe wins the TNA title". Instead, they bring Karen Angle in, which made her a near-permanent fixture and spotlight hog on the show and PPVs, and killed off any momentum Joe had.
There was no need for it. Kurt had already spent some time as TNA Champion and was already a big name as it was. Karen has very little to do with wrestling, and there was no reason for her to be brought in as some mindscrew to the whole AJ/Kurt/Christian/whoever mess. Joe was already holding two of the three TNA belts at the time (with Joe being the only man in wrestling to hold the tag belts without having a singles partner), and it would have been awesome to see him be the first man to claim the TNA Triple Crown first.
Instead, we get a Russo swerve, Dusty finish, and Joe having to wait MONTHS before getting the TNA title. It was ridiculous.
