WWE loses money when they release people from there contracts before they expire right? Or do they have some bullcrap clauses in there where they can pretty much release you anytime and act like they have a reason?

i think if there's a breach of contract, they don't have to pay out. If they just need to let you go for no reason, they have to pay you out i think

I think the thought is that if you release them before the contract is you have to pay them the guarenteed money.
Keep in mind there are PPV Payouts, Road Expenses, benefits, etc. that the company saves by not having to keep them employeed.

Yeah. If the contracted breaches the contract (such as no-showing for something, violating the Wellness Policy, etc), they can be released without WWE having to pay them out. If the WWE just lets them go, they have to compensate for the rest of the money promised.

They have to pay you the full amount unless they say: "We wish you well in your future endeavors", which legally cancels out any future payments.

I am not sure exactly how it works, but I don't think WWE always has to pay for the full amount of the contract, unless it is a guarenteed contract, which often has a no-cut clause in it anyway (like with Henry and Big Show). The reason I think WWE does not have to pay for the full total of the contract is because I often hear about them releasing talent to save some money.

During the Monday Night Wars is when all the iron clad contracts were being signed.
Now with no real competition, I'm sure the lower card guys have very little leverage.

figuring that they list the wrestlers as independent contractors, they are based upon appearances. if they have payed you correct amount owed, when they let you go you probably don't get anything more, unless it could be residuals from dvd sales and video games...
