Wasn't the original NWO theme just a patchwork of clips from a couple of different Jimi Hendrix songs?

I liked this theme quite a bit, but I also hardly have a problem with any TNA theme even though most seem to.
The obvious reason they cannot use the NWO original theme music even if the WWE does not own it, they own the rights to the name NWO. So if you come out to music that says your that and you form a group very similar to that, then your just begging for a three year lawsuit.

The main riff is the break from Highway Chile and the little bridge part is sampled from Hey Joe. Also, John Morrison's theme begins with a small clip of Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner. I don't understand how they're able to use those clips.

Well I'm just happy they are using music that you understand what's happening when it hits. I mean granted I don't follow TNA religiously but alot of times music hits so quiet and generic I don't know what to be excited about. That is one of the little things I hope they fix. You need that hook. You knew, YOU KNEW, when Stone Cold was coming out, YOU KNEW, when the rock was coming out. Hell YOU KNEW when freaking Al Snow was coming out.

Uhhh..this IS a rip off theme. Don't you guys remember Goldberg in WWE? Or video games where Booker, Flair, and the Hardys don't have their proper music? Hell, WWE has their own version of the nWo theme. This one was on the nWo CD released only in Japan and then used in the Thunder video game. And hey if they want to go with another theme they can always use the one from nWo Japan: This isn't from nWo Japan. It's from a CD called something like Rockin' Wrestling Themes or some crap. I bought it in Wal-Mart years ago. It also has MIDI versions of Val Venis and a few others. nWo Japan never really had a theme to my knowledge. Unless you count Chono's nWo Crash or the WCW nWo jobber music.

I was amazed that they found a loophole in using the NWO's video game theme from the WCW days. I was completely expecting American Made.
It's weird because, this song reminds me of the NWO, but I can see Hogan using it, but everytime I hear him come out, I'll think of NWO. Bah.

They are teasing that they will do the NWO thing again but I guarantee you Hogan will stay face and be made to look like the hero. I hope it fails though and the crowd ends up booing him. If he is really going to have them take down the six sided ring for the next Impact I think he will get booed even though he isn't suppose to.

Yeah, it was a legitimate nWo theme, believe it or not. Yep, that's what I was telling people in the chat room on Monday. It was the music from a WCW Nitro game from way back in the day. Not a ripoff, or a created nWo song. Now Bret Hart's new music from Raw........yeah. Lame.

I like Hogans TNA theme but I found it strange that he's saying things like "that was a differant time and place" and claiming he's here to make a change but then uses an nWo theme.

This is what I was going to say. It definitely makes the storyline appear disjointed like in his speech he said that he had spent all day in the back after the first hour of TNA was supposedly following his motorcade as it came to the arena. How could he be in the back all day if he just arrived? How can everything be different if he is using a theme from 97? Another pet peeve is the segment where TNA fans said they were tired of wrestling for kids and the PG stuff, when Hulk Hogan was the first big wrestler to appeal to kids and turn wrestling into PG malarkey. It is amazing the cognitive dissonance. Denounce WWE as too kid friendly and to create a change bring in a guy that was the first character to target kids and bring them in. Most of the older fans of today that love Hogan were kids when they started liking him...which is makes the irony too strong to bear for me.

It seemed so wrong for him to have the nWo music, yet his entrance video had the red and yellow Hulkamania logo.

I thought it seemed a little odd that there must have been 60 people in the first few rows all wearing yellow/red Hogan shirts... and then Hogan came out in black. Almost like people were expecting "The Hulkster" and they got "Hollywood Hogan" instead.

Almost like people were expecting "The Hulkster" and they got "Hollywood Hogan" instead. I think that's the idea. It's supposed to be ambiguous exactly where Hogan stands right now. The propaganda and graphics all read Hulkamania, but the man and his music are Hollywood Hogan. He's giving a face promo one minute, then heeling it up against Jarrett the next.
