I saw several people (some of them new to his congregation!) comment on enjoying Pope on tonights impact, so I figured why not, let appreciate our Pope! He's my favorite wrestler going right now.

Been a big fan of him since WWE and I think he's doing great on TNA. I'd imagine Russo's a big fan of his. To me, he's kind of one of the few wrestlers today that seems like an echo to the Attitude Era. Might just be me, though.

He is a great pickup and has an excellent gimmick.
I think a really good feud with Desmond Wolfe would be good for both wrestlers.

I appreciate the Pope.
I admit I didn't care much for him in WWE when he was Elijah Burke, but as The Pope D'Angelo Dinero he sold on what he can do and he made me a fan.

I was super happy they had him beat Desmond Wolfe clean, I hope this is the start of an Elijah Burke push the guy is awesome.
Also as an aside, OJ has carried a bunch of old/fat guys to surprisingly good matches in NWE and the Hulkamania tour. Can't wait for that feud.

I wasn't big on him like others on here but, he has really stepped up since he arrived in TNA.

I said it in the other thread, but I'll repeat it here: Brother Rorschach has joined the Congregation.
D'Angelo Dinero is just flat out awesome. The facial expressions/comments in the interview were a direct throwback to the sort of things Rocky used to do to people, and it warmed my heart seeing a wrestler DO that without blatantly ripping off Rocky.
His match was also seven shades of awesome.

I was really happy with his promo. I thought OJ was about to completely destroy that segment but the Pope really pulled it out. I mean he's no rock but I couldn't help but laugh and the Whoopi Goldberg line and the Danny Glover pimp slap.

I wish he would have been given more mic time when he was at ECW

I wish he would have been given more mic time when he was at ECW Me too, but looking back on it, he probably would have been "Kofi'd" at some point anyway. You know, gotten massively over and hot with the crowd, and been cut off at the knees and buried up to his ears in the midcard, never to emerge.

The Pope is a living, breathing "Holy S***!" moment waiting to happen. Over, and over, and over again.
The man knows how to be an entertainer.
I'm in the congregation.

Yeah, he's outstanding. Every time I see him I think "that's the next Rock", but he's not a rip off at all.

Pope > Orlando Jordan.
Hopefully, Jordan will job to Pope. Pope is talented. Jordan is not.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED the Pope.
I was not a fan of Elijah in WWE. Didnt bring much to the table. He wanted to to do the Pope gimmick in WWE but they didnt pull the trigger and kept him inactive until his untimely release.
So glad he is makin it work in TNA. He was on fire on the mic. The Orlando interruption was poorly booked. Stay off the Pope's time, Whoopi. I couldnt get enough Pope. I liked Pope is Pimpin too. Great combination of entertainer and cocky attitude (the bow during the match and showboating.)
A star is born. Hope he doesnt get lost in the old man shuffle.

I loved the Jordan interruption, as it gave Pope a person to play off of and essentially bury, without hurting any of the normal roster. And he was awesome in doing so. Get to steppin out of Pope's interview time!

I'm a huge fan, and always have been. I was so disapointed when WWE released him and am thrilled he's getting the chance to shine in TNA.
