There is also a link to the "Evolve Japan" Myspace page. Is this a new promotion, or will it be a spin off of Dragon Gate?

I like how Gabe is trying to make things as real as possible, which is a good thing. My fear is Gabe may run into his old tricks, including booking all the same types of wrestlers, whoring out finishers, etc. DG USA has a lot of great talent, and maybe some of those guys could be brought in. But, he needs to add more variety to the roster.
I also checked out his recent blog, and some of the matches he put over with wrestlers that could end up coming in I think, such as Jimmy Jacobs, Larry Sweeney and Sal Rinuaro.
Some of the roster is looking ok as well. Brad Attitude, Bobby Fish, Davey Richards are all pretty good talent I feel. It will be interesting to see who else comes in.

Dark City Fight Club has been announced as tag team number three. Score. Dark City Fight Club are pretty damn awesome, and I'm a huge Kory Chavis fan.

A note on Chuck Taylor from the EVOLVE website:
67% of you voted for Chuck Taylor to be in EVOLVE. This is not an overwhelming margin. Evolve officials are still not convinced he belongs. However, the majority of you did vote for Taylor so he will get his opportunity. Chuck Taylor will be in the first ever Qualifying Match on January 16th in Rahway, NJ. We will have more information on this bout in the upcoming weeks right here at EVOLVEwrestling.com.

I'm disappointed that Chuck Taylor only got a 67% approval rating. Not cool, people. Not cool.
I'm loving all the names that have been announced so far. I'm really looking forward to the first show.

The main event for the first show has been announced, and it's Davey Richards vs. Kota Ibushi, which basically means this main event will be all kinds of awesome.

Per the EVOLVE website:
EVOLVE is in the final stages of completing its roster for the January 16th debut in Rahway, NJ. We now know that the main event will be a dream match pitting Davey Richards vs. Kota Ibushi. This will be worth the price of admission alone. However, EVOLVE's goal is not to be a dream match promotion. EVOLVE officials have thoroughly scouted the independent scene in both the United States and Japan. EVOLVE has sought out talented athletes with skill, heart and the hunger to shine on a bigger stage. EVOLVE will assemble the new generation on January 16th and cut them loose to see who is the very best. This will be a night of fresh faces and new stars.
A recent example of this was the first bonus match on the 11/28 DGUSA event. Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole both entered the ring as relative unknowns. They battled back-and-forth in an exciting bout that won over the hard-to-please Philly faithful. Another example was the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup a few weeks ago in Florida. 16 relatively untapped talents competed in a memorable, hard-fought weekend tournament and proved that if given the spotlight, they will shine.
EVOLVE will have some independent veterans. It will present some of the best talent going today. It will feature some names that you know. However, the fun will come with the new generation of hungry, talented and unique athletes that are ready for this opportunity. We hope you will approach EVOLVE with an open mind and give these young men a chance. The rewards will follow.

This promotion looks better and better every day.

According to the website, a... um... "Super Evolve" will be happening tomorrow. At this point in the proceedings, I can't tell if I'm following a wrestling promotion or watching Dragon Ball Z.
