Gabe Sapolsky made the following blog post today: EVOLVE wrestling is here!!! After several months of preparation EVOLVE is here. What is EVOLVE? We urge you to keep checking www.EVOLVEwrestling.com to watch this new promotion grow, develop and evolve before your eyes. All we'll say now in this blog is that the partnership of Sal Hamaoui, Davey Richards and myself is behind EVOLVE. Sal Hamoui was looking into a New York State promoter's license, so as of now, it looks as if the company will run in the Northeast.

Perhaps it's a re-branding of DG USA?
Seems interesting though.

So...whats up with dragon gate usa? he doing both? yes. it makes sense, DGUSA holds one show every two months since they have to fly in the Dragon Gate wrestlers, which is hard since DG runs full time in Japan. this will give him more to do and he can make more money. the one person in this that surprises me though is Sal Hamaoui. unlike Gabe, he owns his own promotion. yet, so far he's held a grand total of six shows this year. why start a second promotion if the one you already have isn't even running once a month anymore.

One could argue that Hamoui has been way too busy with this new promotion to even think about FIP. Who's booking FIP, anyway?

Was that press release written by Rajah.com?
"Gabe Saplosky may or may not be starting a wrestling promotion that may or may not be changing after its initial start and may or may not be operating in NY."

Looks like the first show will be 1/16/2010 but, I cannot make out the location. Looks like Davey isn't long for ROH with this and DGUSA.

DGUSA holds one show every two months. there's no telling how many shows this new promotion is going to hold in a month, but most likely it isn't going to be all that often. he's not going to throw away steady, multiple bookings per month in favor of 1-2 shows a month.

He has said in an interview that he wont be tied down to ROH via contract and now is partnering with two people that ROH is not fond of. Plus there is the whole issue of working DGUSA at the same date (possibly time) and place ROH is running on WM weekend. Sorry, that leads me to believe he wants out.

I'm interested to see what happens here. One thing I hope though is that Gabe expands his roster from just high flyers, like DG USA.

Horrible name/logo.
Yeah, that doesn't matter but what else can I comment on? As I always say, I'm "confused yet interested."
