www.doghouseboxing.com/DHB/Kim122509.htm#"Creams, transdurmals, clear the fastest. Orals, would be next. Water-based drugs- including testosterone- would be next, then the oil-based. So some of these can clear in a matter of hours and days," explained Conte."So if you know when you're going to be tested a week out, you go off the use of oral testosterone, for example, you're going to test negative. So that is really an issue." I trust Victor Conte when it comes to his steroids.

That's all fine, so how about a compromise where the blood tests are done during the months leading up to the fight, and then one immediately after? If there's any concerns about Pac using, it'd be kind of hard for him to stay on a cycle if he's being tested throughout January and February.

This is stupid as hell. It should be done by the state's Boxing Commissions standards. I'm guessing it's Nevada, right? I mean they are the ones that sanction the fight, so shouldn't they be the ones setting the rules for this? I already posted this up thread but in case you missed it here is why leaving things in the hands of the Nevada State Athletic Commission is not an option. Both fighters are already required to take the Nevada state athletic commission drug test, before they compete in the state of Nevada. The problem is that state athletic commissions are cheap, and simple. The test they would take would be a simple pee test nothing more. Also depending on how long its been since their last fight in Nevada one or both of them may not be required to take a drug test at all. In big fights like this however there is too much money on the line to take chances so usually its up to the promoters to agree to bring in one of the big boy drug testing organization like the NFL, MLB, or Olympic drug testers. In essence the sate athletic commissions are already drug testing both pro and armature fighters. And it works well for 99.9% of the time. The problem comes when you start getting into big time stars who can afford the latest PEDs that a simple pee test can't catch. Thats why its more or less up to the promoters to make sure that proper drug testing is carried out.
