Well if they've got nothing to hide (and don't take mystery cold medicine right before the weigh-in), why wouldn't either of them want to be tested?
Boxing is a joke at the moment.

Damnit, I was hoping this fight would happen so Boxing would have nothing else and could finally die.
Gotch, your rebuttal?

For some reason, I think this fight will still happen, there's just to much money on the table not to do it.

Damnit, I was hoping this fight would happen so Boxing would have nothing else and could finally die. Gotch, your rebuttal? Ya. HBO had TWO PPV's that did more then a MILLION buy rates in 09, and it will have at least one more million dollar buy rate in 2010. Pro wrestling died a long time ago, while boxing not only continues to do good business in the US, it is also doing just as good and maybe even better in Germany. So called experts have been predicting the death of boxing as far back as the 50s, and in 2009 we have the same thing, except this time, it's coming from a bunch of WWE fans who sit behind a keyboard, in their underwear, posting on message boards all day.

A) Way to sound like a dick there, buddy B) As much as I'd hate to say it, as long as there's alcohol and people who hate each other/want to make money, boxing will never die. Be it big spectacle HBO bulls***, or drunken bar boxing. C) I'm wearing pants.

Damnit, I was hoping this fight would happen so Boxing would have nothing else and could finally die. Gotch, your rebuttal? Personally I find all of the post saying boxing is dead to be highly ignorant. Boxing at the middle weight division is exploding right now with great fights. At the moment their are at least 10 fighters from 5 different countries who are going to be mixing it up in some great profitable fights. Carl Frotch (England) Mikkel Kessler (Denmark) Arthur Abraham (Germany) Andre Dirrell (US) Jermain Taylor (US) Paul Williams (US) Kelly Pavlik (US) Lucian Bute (Can, Romania) Andre Ward (US) Allen Green (US) Internationally the heavyweight division isn't looking to shabby either. Wladimir Klitschko (Ukraine) Vitali Klitschko (Ukraine) David Haye (England) Ruslan Chagaev (Germany) Eddie Chambers (US) Alexander Povetkin (Russia) Tomasz Adamek (Poland) And the welterweights and light weight divisons are also still going strong. In short boxing is doing just fine both at home and abroad. And while it would be fun to see Manny and Floyd duke it out, the sport of boxing isn't going to suffer great deal if this fight doesn't happen (which it will anyway).

Why does Pacqiao not want to go through with the testing? Both he and Mayweather will be subjected to it. Do the test, prove you're not roiding or using any kind of PED, and see who the best of the best is.
Here's what Mayweather agreed to:
10 million for every pound mayweather comes in over 147 8 oz gloves 50-50 purse split
The drug testing throughout the camp is all that Mayweather Camp asked for and it seems reasonable since both guys will be put through it.
Hey Usain Bolt went through testing and passed each time.
I'm sure the fight will still happen, now Pacman just seems less of a man now thanks to arum, roach, and that parasite he has as a manager.

Is there something that's allowed in regular testing but not in Olympic testing that's in a grey area that Pac uses

It's the blood testing and urine testing during the training camps, as opposed to a month before the fight. then Blood/urine test on fight night.
Both Pacman and Money will be tested, but Team Pacquiao balked at the idea and pulled out.

Is there something that's allowed in regular testing but not in Olympic testing that's in a grey area that Pac uses I think, and don't quote me on this. Olympic testing is the only testing stringent enough to catch things like HGH, and blood doping. But then again I could be wrong.

Boxing has plenty more to offer than Floyd and Manny. The World Boxing Classic: Super Six has been a joy to watch thus far. I can't wait for Kessler vs. Froch and Abraham vs. Dirrell but yeah, that sucks about Floyd and Pac.

If he has nothing to hide he'll take the tests, and go on with the fight. Refusing will just raise more questions and will haunt him forever.

I heard on ESPN that it's not so much the testing he's opposed to, it's the blood being drawn 48 hours before the fight. Manny has never had to do that, is apparently superstitious about it, and if you ask me, he's the champ, he should be in the drivers seat. Period.

IS it for a title?
So Manny is spooked by needles, this has really split fans though

If he has nothing to hide Of course he has something to hide. The level of drugs necessary to create, build, and sustain success at the highest levels of sports and most forms of entertainment is insane.

The first boxing fight I was looking forward to in a while other than Mayweather's return bout and since Tyson's last return just to see if they both could still go.
And now it's off.
It'll happen eventually I hope.......I mean that's a ton fo money to let sit on the table over a stupid issue.
