The Champ. Of the options, very overrated is the one i'd least understand someone voting. Its not like fans are claiming he's Mr. Perfect and Great Muta after a fusion dance. When he says 'The Champ is here' is makes sense and feels right, storyline wise he's been very successful and the claim is fitting.

Once upon a time (let's call this time late 2007/early 2008) there was a Cena thread guaranteed to be posted in WWE current weekly asking what his place in the WWE was to the members of this board.
Back then, it was about a 70/30 split between hate and love. Now it seems to be 60/40 between apathy and "hey, I like the guy, sue me". Personally, I still don't particularly care for the Cena character, but his push doesn't make my boxers bunch up, and I don't get aggravated when I see him on my TV. I've accepted that Cena's over, that he pushes merch like no other, and that he's going to have a place on my TV until he doesn't move merch or can't wrestler. Accordingly, he hasn't been booked like friggin' Superman at every turn (He still gets that kind of booking on occasion, but so does any babyface worth their weight in the ring.) His current role as Bret Hart defender and Batista hater is basic booking, but it works. If I marked for the guy, I'd be anticipating Wrestlemania badly, because I just know he's going to find a way to beat Batista.
But, I don't mark for the guy, so I don't really give a crap either way.

Same S*** different day. I used to like John Cena, but now he is as stale as 1000 year old bread.

Same shit, different day.
I want to like Cena, I really do. But I just can't. He is still doing the same tired act after all these years: Huge beatdown on him (which may or may not come after some offense on his part) followed by the 5 Moves of Doom and either a pin or submission with the lamest STF ever.

I like him. He goes out there and does what he is supposed to do. We know he has wrestliing ability but he just adheres to the WWE's ring style for main eventers. Not his fault.
He is booked like Hogan. Not his fault.
His promos are solid but nothing spectacular. Not really his fault.
He has charisma and has a very loyal fanbase. Kids love the guy much like many of us youngsters liked Hogan growing up. He can perform in big time matches and usually delivers.
Yeah he is stale, but he has had the same character for about 5 years now. What do you expect. Who isn't stale on this roster quite frankly. You can list many things wrong with him, but in the end, the people to point the finger at are the creative team.
He has done a very good job of carrying the banner of the WWE and being their top guy.
Champ.

He reminds me of what happens when you eat your favorite food every night for a month.
For the first couple nights it's awesome.
Then it looses it's luster.
Then after a short while, the thought of eating your favorite food again and again and again is sickening. You want anything else BUT that for a while.

This is the best way to put it. I can't wait until the guy leaves the company. Seeing as how he's by far the biggest money-maker in the WWE, doesn't cause any problems backstage, and is a model employee, you're gonna be waiting a while.

I like him if his opponent is interesting (see Batista, Miz).
When they're guys you don't care about (Sheamus at first), or guys you're sick of seeing in the same role even more (Orton), I just don't care and I just keep repeating the fact that Cena's the top guy, he's a good person, and all the kids that love him will grow up and be jaded smarks in 5 years and hate his guts like Hulk Hogan before him.

TEH CHAMP IS HURRRRRR!!!
In all seriousness, I think that Cena's promos against Vince have been decent. I prefer Super Serial Cena to the silly guy that has an awkward salute.
