( loses .5 of a point cause Benoit is featured in it! That's ludicrous. Seeing that "bastard scum" takes away from your enjoyment of a match or even PPV?

I think that might have been the last Survivor Series I actually watched. Solid show from what I remember.

I've never seen him ever mentioned in the history of the WWE. Seriously, I have no quarrels with seeing a Benoit match on an older PPV.

I liked the commercial. Gotta give Vince credit for being able to laugh at himself.

I loved this PPV, loved the promo they used to hype it up before the show, the only thing I didn't love was the main event and the Tag Title and Womens match but everything else was great.
Teasing the Brock Goldberg match, Cena lifting up Show (I think for the first time), Lesnar tapping to the crossface, Kane interfering in the Buried Alive match and of course the whole of the Team Austin vs Team Bischoff match. Really solid PPV.

I always thought that this was one of the most underrated PPV's for the WWE. And it was almost completely carried by the RAW side, which was very unusual for the time (Smackdown was usually seen as the dominant brand in the WWE until about WM20).
Goldberg-Triple H had a surprisingly good match, Shane-Kane was a fun brawl, the Team Austin-Team Bischoff match was a really good, old-school Survivor Series style match with a ton of heat from the crowd, and everything else was solid and smartly booked. The only major mistake I thought was trying to squeeze both a Tag Team Title match and a Womans Title match on the show. They were probably better off just dropping one and giving the time to the Smackdown Elimination match.

I still consider the Team Austin - Team Bischoff Survivor Series match to be the best SS match ever. I watch the ending of that constantly because it was so well executed but the whole match in general was perfected so well.

This was just an overall well-booked show. All the right people went over. And as for those who say the women's match wasn't necessary, keep in mind it involved Lita and her comeback. Despite that, Molly still won. Good times.

I remember being happy they seemed to finally book Goldberg right. Evolution's shenanigans didn't work, HHH tries to cheat but Goldberg symbolically throws down the sledgehammer and beats HHH cleanly.

You're welcome for the recommendation.
I actually got that DVD for free at the Wrestlemania Axcess mini tour before WM20.

Despite that, Molly still won. Good times. Actually I think the Womans Title match should've been on the show, its the Tag title Match I thought they should've dropped. The break-up of Los Guerreros had been teased for so long at this point that fans were starting to lose interest (which they pretty much did when Heyman finally did pull the trigger on it). I think they were better off breaking them up a few weeks before Survivor Series, drop the tag title match from the card, put Eddie on Angles team instead of Holly, and put Chavo on Lesnar's team instead of A-Train, and after the show start Eddie's main event push.

I love the intro to this ppv one of my all time favorites.
Why's nobody mentioning that they supposedly scrapped the cruiserweight title match because of the Orton/Cuban segment??

This show was in Dallas and I was there, next to WrestleMania X7, probably my favorite show I have attended.
I remember I bought the John Cena Word Life ringer t-shirt. Back in the good old days when he actually had a gimmick and all.

I always laugh at Undertaker throwing what must have been the most powerful first punch ever, to bust Vince open so horrendously. Why he felt the need to bleed that much from so early on in the match is beyond me.

It was a solid PPV but I remember still being a bit of a mark and was watching this with bunch of my mark friends and we hated how the bad guys won almost every match. It was a bummer. I still don't understand why didn't Lita win at SS03!
