Same way the World Title magically disappeared in that match between Triple H and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XX, and didn't reappear until SummerSlam of that year when Randy Orton found it.

They got rid of the loss for Drew, but not the win for Kane.
It's not meant to make a lot of sense, it's meant to make you angry that the chosen one is getting special treatment.
