Every commentator botches lines. Even the Brain and Gordon Solie. Yeah, but they made up for it by being legendary the rest of the time. Cole...Not so much.

Uhh, does the order really matter all that much? If nothing else, pounding a guy could ground them.

You've been saying it wrong.

You've been saying it wrong. I'm ENGLISH, we don't pronounce ANYTHING wrong, we made up every word ever, and we're keeping it that way. Every English word we ever mispelt was given a random apostrophe somewhere in the word and those words collectively became French.

Uhh, does the order really matter all that much? If nothing else, pounding a guy could ground them. Sorta. The logic is to "ground" the guy, keeping him against the cage or on the mat in order to then "pound" him with strikes. You aren't really trying to hit him in order to keep him boxed in.

I guess in a sense pound and ground KIND of makes sense seeing that the goal of a professional wrestling match is to pin your opponent's shoulders to the mat for three seconds, which is a way of grounding them. Still sounds kind of off though. Like most of Michael Cole's sayings.
