When a wrestler gets released or leaves, WWE act like he was never there. They remove everything out of the history books and practically never speak of him again. I like that TNA acknowledge their past wrestlers. But WWE constantly set themselves apart from every other promotion in the world. They think they're the only company in the world. Go to the Money in the Bank page over on WWE.com, and they have the logos of all the past winners on the briefcase behind Benjamin, Kane, Christian and Ziggler. They have RVD, CM Punk and Edge. Hey WWE... remember this? Exactly. I get that they don't want to promote the "competition" or whatever, but if they're SO good and so big, what's the problem? They own the name Mr. Kennedy, it's not like they would get sued over it. It's a logo they created, so what? Stop insulting my intelligence by acting like it never happened.

It's the WWE, they don't just erase history! /Striker
Though Striker did also acknowledge K-Kwik a couple of times so, I dunno, partial credit?
Granted, WWE has never denied K-Kwik, they just don't mention it. If you check R-Truth's WWE.com profile it lists him as a former Hardcore champion.

They're the WWE, they can do whatever the hell they want, whether we like it or not.

I think has more to do with those guys you know actually WON the title well Kennedy didn't. Plus if you play the MITB trivia game they mention Kennedy, so they're not forgetting him.

Kennedy never cashed in the briefcase so maybe that's why?

It's not just that though. Not sure if this is a spoiler but, I'll put it black anyways. {Spoiler}Chances are, when RVD shows up on iMPACT monday, they will remove his logo off of it too It's just plain WWE and their ego problems. They think they're above everybody else with their goofy terms. I was watching a video of Linda McMahon running for senate and Stephanie was talking about WWE's "Soap Opera" popularity. Whether they want to admit it or not, they're wrestling. They will always be wrestling no matter how hard they try to seperate themselves for it. You can change the shape of a football, but in the end, it will still be football. In the end, we're still "fans", we're not in some imaginary "WWE universe" where we refer to the wrestlers as "Superstars" and "Divas". Atleast I'm not, anyways. When Christian returned last year, they acted like he disappeared into thin air for the past 5 years. If it was vice versa, TNA would atleast have said that he was winning world titles in "other promotions". It's stuff like this that ruins wrestling for me.
We have a spoiler tag you can and should use in these cases. ~ Ric

Kennedy never cashed in the briefcase so maybe that's why? Yeah, if you play the trivia game, one of the questions is "Who is only guy to win the Ladder Match but, lose the case?" That is probably why they don't have him on there, he won the match but, lost the case so he doesn't matter.

Now that that's cleared up, what is this history you're speaking of?

Oh, everyone erases history. How many movies and video games have the US single-handedly defeating Germany in World War II? Did Sayid ever tell Nadia "Yeah, when I was on The Island, I totally fell in love with this rich blonde girl..."? No way.
Just the way of things, I'm afraid.

WWE is a TV Drama not a legit sporting event with honest records and histories.
How often do TV shows pine on about characters that left due to the actor having contract disputes?
Not very often.

If the WWE said Christian was gone for 5 years because he was chasing the NWA title down in TNA, it makes it sound like "Oh, Christian wasn't good enough before I guess." If he went to Japan or Mexico, they may have mentioned it because the average fan doesn't really know anything about wrestling in those countries and it sounds like a great opportunity, rather than a step down to TNA.

WWE doesn't think they're above everyone else. They are.
