It seems like the top storyline in NXT is the tension between The Miz and Bryan Daniel. Everything else about the show just seems secondary.
If they don't do Miz vs. Daniel at WrestleMania, I could definatly see the WWE going with it for Backlash. Has the WWE found a hidden gem with this angle ? Could this angle really help push the Miz into the next main event player spot in the WWE ?

I think it's a great idea. You take one of the most over heels in the company and have him give an internet darling so much crap that he becomes an even bigger heel, which builds up Bryan as a credible face. It shows that the E has plans for Danielson that we weren't sure were there.

It's only been a couple of weeks so i'm waiting on a little more depth. It appears that everyone on NXT wants to break Bryan into becoming what the E wants. He doesn't want that being the free spirited world traveling King of the Indies. I'm not sure which way they will take it but i am intrigued and my enjoyment as risen since we found out he was getting called up. Still a long ride to go and i'm going to enjoy the ride even if it's a car crash.

IM still waiting for Bryan to win a match.Baby steps. Something tells me his first win (singles win) might be when he faces the Miz... AFTER he wins NXT.

IM still waiting for Bryan to win a match.Baby steps. IT's only been 2 weeks, he goes into a match with Jericho's bigger, stronger, protege HURT with a bad rib injury. You put him over Jericho's cronie and you bury the much larger and much more viscious Wade Barrett, the top heel rookie on NXT. I think they'll definitely give him a victory over Darren Young and Tarver in the next couple of shows just to build the guy back up. Right now Daniel Brian is feuding with Jericho (World Heavyweight champ), Wade Barrett, and The Miz simultaneously. He's got the main storyline on NXT. Actually i love the budding partnerships on NXT, I wonder if they'll bleed into the main storylines on Smackdown. I can see somewhere down the line Darren Young shaving his head.

I'm enjoying it, though I think both for the purposes of the storyline and in order to give someone else a rub that Bryan will lose NXT to Wade Barrett, but be picked up by either Long or one of the guest hosts afterward - depends on whether or not Miz is traded to SmackDown.

It seems like the top storyline in NXT is the tension between The Miz and Bryan Daniel. Everything else about the show just seems secondary. OK so far. If they don't do Miz vs. Daniel at WrestleMania Well, no, see--Bryan is totally new to the company and despite his success in the indies, is being booked as a rookie. So he probably won't be going to Mania in the exact same year he just started. I could definatly see the WWE going with it for Backlash. I...well, I GUESS that's possible-- Has the WWE found a hidden gem with this angle ? Could this angle really help push the Miz into the next main event player spot in the WWE ? OK, see, this is where you went off the tracks again. Despite Danielson's history in the indies, he's booked in WWE as a bottom-of-the-totem-pole rookie, while Miz is one of the hottest young rising stars just waiting to break out of the midcard. So, regardless of whatever program they end up working, and yes, even in spite of all Danielson has done on the indies, Miz beating a rookie on the C-show isn't what's going to get him to main event status.

But Miz mercilessly dogging the internet darling and indie king will give him enough heel heat to warrant a main event push, imo. At least, by the end of this season of NXT, anyway.

I said it in another thread and I'll repeat it here -
What they should do with Daniel Bryan is have him come out every week on NXT and cut a promo about how he's not really a "rookie", has been in the business 10 years, has more experience then most World Champions, greatest wrestler not on the WWE roster, etc. etc. Then for some reason or another have him lose every match he's in. Then when it's time for the pro's to pick who moves on and who gets dropped and all that, they all decide to drops Bryan because he hasn't won a single match. As the Miz starts laughing and gloating, Bryan decides he's finally had enough, slaps Miz in the face, and says if he's gonna leave, he's gonna leave happy and challenges Miz to a match before he goes. Miz says fine, somehow the US Title gets put on the line, Bryan wins the match, the title, and goes onto RAW not because he won NXT, but because he's the US Champion.

Yeah, how could feuding with a no-name jobber from NXT push Miz into the main event?

I think it's quite compelling. Probably the ideal way to get Bryan on the radar.

I could even see him becoming exactly what they want... almost like creating a monster. I think that would be a lot of fun, as a fan of DB.
either way, as long as he's the most talked about wrestler on NXT I'm happy, and he seems to be getting plenty of screen time.

I do like the feud, so far.
Can anyone tell me who writes this show? Is it Michael Hayes, or another writer?
