- Eric Bischoff was asked on Facebook if he thought the Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon storyline was being done well. Bischoff responded with this interesting comment:
"For what it is..yes. Allegedly WWE found out about a Lloyds of London (insurance) policy that Bret had in effect AFTER setting up this match, and as a result Lloyds of London has to approve of the physical structure of the match. Can't confirm this, and perhaps WWE has "bought out" the problem, but if not..could be disappointing. Either way, I am looking forward to it and am happy for Bret. Going back to WWE in any capacity was the right thing for him to do at this stage of his life."

Very surprised by these comments. Well, kudos to him for not taking a cheap shot or saying it sucked, just to say it.

I always thought for Eric respected Bret, and they seemed to get along. I even think Eric was the one to inform Bret about Owen.
Very cool of him to not bury the WWE just for the sake of doing so.

I don't know. I couldn't help but read this in the usual smarmy Bischoff promo voice.

Very cool of him to not bury the WWE just for the sake of doing so. Agreed. Still though, I kinda wished he'd have given his thoughts on the storyline about the two rather than the situation.

Why bury it on Facebook when you can reach the masses on TNA, lol. "Your thinking of starting a football league to compete with the XFL?" LOL. A few weeks from now, after WM, he will be on the phone saying, "Sure, you are a legend, but your stroke and concussions would hurt the show, and we won't do that here in TNA". I'd mark.

Bischoff wasn't the one to inform Bret, but he got in touch with him pretty quickly and gave Bret the ok to do whatever he felt was best for his career after that, no matter how long he needed. Bischoff seems to look back on having Hart as maybe his biggest missed/blown opportunity while running WCW.

It's been a while since I've seen it, but in Bret's second RF Video shoot, I'm pretty sure he doesn't have very nice things to say about Bischoff, and WCW in general....
