And what a horrid movie! I sort of got sick about slamming without seeing it and I was bored and decided to give it a go and I'm amazed that this crap is so popular.
The main leads have no chemistry with each other and seem to droll on about nothing and look at each other for what seems like 1 hour in the movie and say nothing of value and their relationship seems to be built on Edward controlling her or something and is very creepy in my opinion but not enough to make anything in the movie entertaining and lacks any romance which is odd since this was based off of a romance novel.
When dialogue is spoken it isn't very compelling at all and from segments of the book I've glanced over in supermarkets and from this movie the story comes off like a terribly written Mary Sue fan fic with Vampires. Awful the only thing I liked was Jacob , he seemed like a nice guy and he actually had some chemistry with Bella when they were in scenes together and all in all the most likable least cliqued character in this movie.
Edward seemed to be least convincing good guy since Arch Hall in Eegah and seems either annoyed or bored at every turn in this movie and one would wonder why anyone would want to hang out with him apart from looking like an undead James Dean. While Bella has so much teenage angst in her that she must have a horrible life. Except while being the new kid in school everyone seems to love and want to be friends with her and barely has anything that could be construed as a bad life and would rather be hanging with a guy that would want to suck her blood and possibly killing her and comes off as a better than thou ice queen. Man I can't believe this train wreck made so much money especially since the bad guy is barely even in this movie and is beaten pretty easily. One has to wonder what the people making this movie were thinking I mean it's pretty hard to screw up vampires their pretty easy to do especially to make them look cool instead they made them look like goth-emos who shimmer like diamonds in the sun what a terrible excuse from cinema
