So even though i've been at one of my current jobs for three years. I'm starting to think that i've had enough of it because they keep bringing in bodies and not good workers you know. I've thought about leaving them before but at the same time they have kept me employed all this time not that i'm a bad worker or anything like that I shouldn't feel like I owe it to them to stay but in a way I maybe do a little bit. I could be doing better but money is money right?
Sucks having a conscience sometimes.

Feel ya, buddy, I'd leave mine if there was anything worthwhile around here. Sadly, the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area is absolute crap for jobs. I keep saying "first thing I find", but that seems to be the tough part. If I do find something, I guarantee you, zero regrets, I'm gone.

If you're upgrading, you got nothing to feel sorry about. Just be professional and give them the proper amount of notice, just in case things ever fall through and you have to go back for any reason.

I never do. I was happy to quit working at a grocery store because my supervisor is a bitch and sore on the eyes. Plus I get a full time job and more pay after that job so how can I complain about that?

Yes, I'm too nice a guy to do that, even if the other job is much better, with the pay and conditions.

Got finished with an interview for management with the local Alltel outlet today, actually. If I get the position? Yeah, I know it's going to put my supervisor (also a good friend) into a pinch because I'm a versatile employee trained in a lot of areas and I'm his go-to guy and essentially assistant manager, but I don't see anything wrong with moving up. It's not his fault that the university is cutting my hours and refuses to benefit me, but I have to do what's right for me.
It's not unconscionable to take advantage of better opportunities for yourself. If you did well, they'll remember you as such and will hopefully be glad that you've gotten a chance to move forward with a career, rather than stagnating. Go out graciously, and everything should be fine.

I'd miss the people I work with, but the pay I get, I'd jump in a sec. Like Mr. Angryfan, ain't shit around.

At some point I might have, but the company I work for has shown they don't care about me, so I'm not going to care when I quit.

Every time I've left a job for another, I've left a job that didn't give a shit about me and wasn't paying me well to go to one that still didn't give a shit about me but paid me better. So no, I've never felt bad about it.

Not exactly leaving for a better job, but the day I put in my two weeks notice with Disney nearly killed me. True, I was leaving to go back to college and move across the country, but even with substandard pay (IMHO) and tough hours, I loved working for The Mouse with all my heart and if money wasn't an issue, I'd try and go back tomorrow.

Nope. Not for a second.
Mind you, I left a job I wasn't having any fun at, saw the writing on the wall about how they felt about my future with them and said so long. I did go back briefly....but I left for a much better job, with a future and much, much better pay.

I felt bad leaving the school system to come work at a hotel but it was only because the kids loved me.
