Good luck, young men. At the age of 15 I grew a goatee (hey, it was 1996!) and a few years ago let it grow into a full beard. One of the best decisions I've ever made. It will make you feel manlier than you ever have before.
As far as grooming, if you're not going for a Mike Knox super long deal, simply take hair clippers or a beard trimmer to it about once a week. Also, make sure to trim the edges once or twice a week with a razor to keep your beard's shape. Also make sure that your lips are cleanly visible, so that chicks (or dudes if that''s your thing) will still kiss you. You'll also want to shampoo it once or twice a week.
It seems like a lot of work, but it's but a small fraction of the effort that would go into shaving daily.

Toni... beard... DOES NOT COMPUTE! DOES NOT COMPUTE! No seriously, you've always been playing out your androginous looks and NOW you want a beard?! YEAH WANNA FIGHT ABOUT IT!? ALthough I can't see the picture is the Wanna fight about it thing from family guy? I know there is a show where therer is some angry little guy who says stuff like "I drive a small car. So what. Wana fight about it?" I can never remember who it is or what show it is as far as the topic I didn't shave the whole time I was in rehab until I had to go back to work so the first day I had to go to work and I shaved all the people at rehab were shocked. I walked past one of the guys and he let out a very loud Damn! (he is gay so I took it as a compliment) some of the people had a hard time adjusting to it. I walked by my counselor that night in my pjama pants and she couldn't resist herself saying "You look so cute shaved and in your jammies"

I'm growing a goatee. My facial hair doesn't grow real fast but it is starting to more now.
Right now I can see where the chin hair is and on the mustache I'm afraid it won't grow in the middle. Also the mustache is going to easily connect to the beard on the right side but it doesn't look like it will on the left side. There is also a small patch in the middle of my chin where it won't grow but I think that part might actually look cool since it's shaped like a upside down triangle.

It comes in fuller over time for some people and other people just can't grow a full beard. My friend hates me becasue he wants to grow a beard. (we can't have them at work anyway. just a goatee) but his is all patchy. In his words "It looks like I just ate a bunch of Oreos."

I dunno. I haven't not shaved since I started getting facial hair, pretty much...so curiosity got the best of me, and I'm trying to grow one just to see if I can. I'll post a picture later, right now I just have kind of a longer 5 o clock shadow going on, but yeah.

I have a short goatee and sporadic cheek hair. I've got the long hair so I need the facial hair to avoid the whole "is that a girl?" thing.

I shaved my beard off for the summer cuz it always feels gross when it's hot out, but as soon as september hits I'm gonna bring it back full force.

I seriously wish I had trouble growing facial hair. Mainly because I hate shaving.

I too have trouble growing a beard, I'll grow a little in and then it just suddenly stops in its tracks. People say I generally look better without facial hair anyway, but I still want to be able to grow one just for the manliness factor. Plus I just like how they look.
