Guy is a name I've always thought was just really lazy.

Tercel. (Yeah. I've met someone with that name.) If you're going to name your child after a car...try harder.

Naming your kid after yourself is either very conceited or really unimaginative, and I don't know which.

I had a student named Steve Martin IV, and that seemed pretty lazy given that his older brother was Steve Martin III. I guess their parents were George Foreman fans...

I don't know, I like it. Then again, I'm from the NY/NJ area and have Italian ancestry. Joe, Mike, John, names like that are the norm. I've heard studies about names that people have instinctual positive or negative reactions to, but I'm not naming my future son Derek. No offense to you Derek's out there.

The entire George Foreman lineage. I have heard of a few people named Abcde (Ab-sa-da), that seems both creative and lazy.

Anyone who is named after the place they were conceived.
Also, the kids who were named Espyn, Espen, Espn, or whatever after ESPN.

Jose, Eric, and Kevin are extremely common names among all the people I've known or met in my life. My name is Kevin, I have two friends named Kevin.
