I was thinking about this today how I miss the old programming of the Sci-Fi Channel. It was awesome they had a ton of crappy ridiclous old sci-fi shows that were fun to watch. Of course not all were terrible, most were but the rest if not bad were massively entertaining and in my opinion superior to anything on "Syfy" now.
The ones I remember most fondly were Manimal, Forever Knight, The Bionic Woman, Brimstone, Mystery Science 3000, Highlander: The Raven, The Incredible Hulk, Alien Nation, My Secret Identity, Night Gallery, Dark Shadows, Quantum Leap, Space: 1999, The Crow: Stairway to Heaven, Beauty and the Beast, The Amazing Spider Man!
All of these were awesome to watch in my mind and far superior and far more enjoyable than anything Syfy has now I can't really get into it anymore I guess I don't get what's so great about all the Battleship Galactica and Stargate Shows. Although I do enjoy Eureka and Sanctuary also major props for them airing Dead Like Me, Firefly and Garth Merangi's Darkplace.
But anyway who does everyone think was better Syfy or Sci-Fi?

Sci-Fi had MST3K. So, I'm gonna go with that.

I'll go with the SPACE channel. I don't think I've ever had Syfy where I live.

its just a name. The switch in ideologies at the network started long before the name change.

I'll go with the SPACE channel. I don't think I've ever had Syfy where I live. An entire channel devoted to the SPACE bar? Tell me more...

its just a name. The switch in ideologies at the network started long before the name change. Yeah I'm aware of that I guess I was trying to show the original incarnation of SciFi Channel by the original name and when they changed the ideology with the new name. So although they had the same name it wasn't the same channel. Also it makes it easier to distinguish the channel I liked from the one that disgusts me now.

The Sci-Fi Channel, before being bought by NBC, was one of the most entertaining channels on cable.
Now I only watch it for the New Year's Eve Twilight Zone marathon.

Sci-Fi pre-NBC Universal. Reruns of cool obscure shows and b-movies. Interesting (if not always quality) original content.
Now it's a mess.
