Does Spike really have to show a Star Wars marathon every holiday? ?

I think 90% of Spike's airtime is either Star Wars movies or CSI. Kinda like USA being 90% NCIS and House.

I'm starting to think that the whole thing is some kind of conspiracy to make me hate the OT as much as the prequels. I used to think I'd never get tired of watching the Empire Strikes Back, but Spike TV has proven me wrong.

With the amount of "man" movies out there, you'd think they could fight more programming for their network.

I guess AMC has the rights to all the "Rated M for Manly" films.

At this point I think the people who dress up as Storm Troopers for their weddings are writing Spike letters - "Really Spike, it's enough already with the marathons."

And yet it's still preferable to an Independence Day marathon. >_>

Not like there are not other channels, and the excuse nothing is on doesn't work. Something is always on.

I just don't watch them, but interestingly enough, it shows that television is becoming more like radio-playing the "hits" over & over, to the point of burnout. And general radio sucks-and tv knows this. Hmmmmmm

With the amount of "man" movies out there, you'd think they could fight more programming for their network. That's something that really bothers me. I mean, between Chuck Norris, Segal, the Governator and Van Damme, there's like 100 movies right there. Spike: We hope you like CSI and Star Wars!

Didn't Spike produce an article about a year ago as to why they do it?
Something to do with just replaying the movies get's such high ratings that it's not worth doing anything else in many time slots?

Thing is, Star Wars is a great draw thanks to it ridiculous number of fans and Spike knows that. Plus I think they paid some outrageous amount to get the rights so they are trying to get their moneys worth.
