Recently, "Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge Special Edition" came out on the XBLA (and maybe elsewhere too, not sure).
Almost immediately after booting up the game for the first time, I got an achievement (the Old School one).
All you had to do is press the 360 equivilent of the select button for it.
So I'm wondering...what are some super-easy achievements that you have gotten in games on the 360, PS3 or even PC?

The Simpsons game for the 360 had the "Press START to Play" achievement, where you got 5 gamerscore for starting the game.

On Guitar Hero II you get an achievement for watching the credits. It takes a while, but you don't have to do anything.
Side-note: This is actually from the credits of Guitar Hero II on XBox 360:
No pitchers were harmed in the making of this game. Except for one. Joel Zumaya. He had it coming.

Any game where you get a trophy for finishing the first mission/level/what have you. Because the first mission is designed to ease you into the game and if you don't pass it fiorst time you should return the game quite frankly.

Why are there Achievement points just for starting a game? Either it's because they're stupid and they do, or, like The Simpsons Game, do it for a laugh.

The easiest via comedy ones were some for Eat Lead. There was one for starting the game, pausing the game, looking at the credits without skipping, and thrown in achievements for features not in the game, like for Multiplayer or interogations.
The easiest for regular games was the first couple of combos for Spider-Man:Web of Shadows. You can get those at the first set of baddies a minute into the game.

Got 2 easy Gold trophes in the Sega Mega Drive Collection, one for using magic 10 times in Golden Axe 3 and the other gold was for collecting 100 rings with Tails on one level in Sonic 3. Also my friend got a 1000G gamerscore in one of the Avatar cartoon series games in about 10 minutes!

Also my friend got a 1000G gamerscore in one of the Avatar cartoon series games in about 10 minutes! 50 punch combo. That's everything... and a big cop-out for gamerscore.

Easiest is one of the aforementioned first level/first punch/etc achievements.
Turning this into an all-purpose achievement thread.
Most tedious - Collecting all the flags in Assassin's Creed. What a damn grind that is.
Most frustrating - any time there are achievements for playing online. I don't like to play online, so I don't have a gold account. They just sit there taunting me.
How about some of the most creative achievements?

YAK MAN: Most frustrating non-online for me has been the Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe Kombo Challenges. Haven't gotten any one of them yet. I can do certain moves as combos, but never can get enough to get all of them done.

GTAIV's off the boat. Red Dead also has a very similar achievement. Basically both of them require nothing more then surviving the opening cut scene.

No discussion of easy/stupid achievements can be complete without this:

Easiest non-Avatar 1000G was Fight Night 3. Just do the career,
Easiest points? The new Game Room add-on.

"Let's Get Some Levels" from The Beatles: Rock Band. Just calibrate your instruments so they match up with the game.
One time, I earned a trophy by playing a game demo! I downloaded WipeOut HD and just started fooling around with some of the game options. I used Camera Mode and earned the "Say Cheese" trophy.

I just started Assassin's Creed 2 and I got an achievement after watching the first cutscene, then another for completing the intro mission.
God I hate achievements, I feel like a little kid being pampered and pandered to by being congratulated after every little accomplishment. You beat... the tutorial!!! YAAAAYYY!! Not to mention totally immersion breaking.
I thought getting a PS3 would relieve me of that shit, but no, they have TROPHIES! Trophies like the ones given to the losers of a kid's soccer game so they don't feel bad, IE worthless trash to make you feel good.
If there's a way to turn off trophies notifications on PS3 someone please tell me.

big fat & lazy: Funny enough, you say they're pandering to kids...yet the system that they SAY is most for kids, the Wii, doesn't have anything like that.
