@jeffmarek Brock Lesnar announced on ESPN today that he's back. He'll fight the winner of Mir/Carwin. That sound you're hearing is the cash register.

Great news. I just hope that Brock gives his body enough time to heal.

Yay! And you know that no matter who wins they will eventually do both Lesnar-Mir 3 and Lesnar-Carwin.

That's great new for UFC and MMA. Lensar was the face of theres it seemed like and looked like he was done. I'm glad Lensar was able to recover from what he had and is able to return. Glad to see that he can contiune his career.

A hole in his stomach? Oh, poor Brock. It's great he can make a comeback so early.
But I don't see why Dana was so tight-lipped on the medical condition before.

Damn the man is a monster, I thought they were projecting a year or two for him to recover and get back in shape.

Glad he's back, but it's pretty much been a given for about a month now. Everybody in his camp and even Randy Couture said Brock was already training, but all that was ignored as Dana White was pretty much the only one still playing up the whole "Brock's career might be over" crap. Trying to hype it up so he can do a big presser on ESPN...maybe it will bring more eyes to Mir-Carwin.

But I don't see why Dana was so tight-lipped on the medical condition before. 2 reasons for that. The first, being for the first while they really had no idea what was wrong and the 2nd being that Brock asked to keep it under wraps. Brock is apparently really pissed off at a couple of the guys from his training camp for leaking info about his illness

A few minor corrections from someone who has suffered from the same illness
Diverticulitis occurs in the large intestine, not the stomach. It's not really a hole, a pouch forms in the wall of the intestine which becomes infected. Antibiotics will usually clear up the infection, but sometimes the infection is so severe and causes so much damage that the affected section of the bowel must be removed. If this is the case you end up with a colostomy, which can be temporary so as to allow the intestines to heal or a permanent colostomy. Either way, it's not a pleasant thing to have a bag hanging from your belly to collect your poop. Luckily in my case it was temporary and after 3 months passed they rejoined my intestine.
Eat you fiber kiddies, a lack of fiber in your diet leads to this condition.
