it was really good. I was in row 5 which wasn't as bad as I expected since the place was kinda small so I was still somewhat close.
Show opened with Justin Roberts (ECW announcer) in the ring announcing that this was a both Smackdown and ECW show. Smackdown got very loud boos since at first this was announced as only an ECW show with Smackdown just added a couple weeks ago when their tour of Israel was cancelled because of the violence over there.
First match was for the tag titles and it was KC James and Idol Stevens vs. Londrick. It was a decent match with the crowd all over James and Stevens. I had faith in the crowd after this match since it seemed like an ECW crowd with a lot of swearing and entertaining chants. Also, the end of the match seemed to come out of nowhere and London rolled out of the ring with the referee tossing up an X and he had to be helped to the back by Kendrick and the ref.
Second was CM Punk vs. Stevie Richards. When Stevie Came down, he got good pops and a b.W.o. chant started by me. Punk was very over with the crowd. A couple funny moments in this match were at one point the crowd started chanting "Right to Censor" at Stevie and Punk did a slow, comical backing up into a corner at the reference and started laughing, pissing Stevie off that Punk was laughing at him and later in the match Punk set up for his Pedigree-type maneuver and instead hit a double arm backbreaker, the crowd started chanting "You just teased us."
Third match was for the US Title. It was advertised as being Kennedy vs. Matt Hardy but for some reason the emo kid didn't show (which disappointed me since I got a bunch of people in my section to agree to do a "Edge f***ed your girlfriend" chant at Matt when he hit the ring) so instead we got Vito and I am scarred for life at what I saw during that match. But first the prematch shennanigans with Kennedy putting his arm up to get the lowered microphone but there wasn't one so after a minute, the ring announcer came over and stuck the mic he was using in Kennedy's hand, at which point Kennedy started calling off bingo numbers (cheap heat, I know). His interaction with the crowd was great. When some people started chanting "You suck dick" he turned to them and said to shut up since it's a family show. Anyways, Kennedy teased throwing his shirt into the crowd, seeing what section wanted it the most, then just dropped it at ringside then Vito came out in his dress, grabbed the shirt, and did the same thing, tossing it in the crowd after wiping his ass/crotch on it. When he was doing this, Kennedy loosened the turnbuckle pad.
It's funny cuz the pad came off waaaaaaaay too early in the match accidentally so Nick Patrick had to pretend to keep getting distracted, not knowing how to put the pad on, and just plain forgetting until the match ended with Kennedy dropping Vito on the exposed turnbuckle and rolling him up for the pin. After the match, Kennedy acted all shocked like he just got raped, grabbed the mic and said "the winner of this match who feels violated right now and still United States Champion Mister Kennedy........*sigh* Kennedy (mumbled)"
Next was RVD vs. Hardcore Holly in an Extreme Rules match. Holly was getting in the fans faces before the match and at one point security had to come in between him and some fan. Anyways, the match wasn't anything special with RVD picking up the win with a rollup after escaping an Alabama Slam followed by Holly beating him up after the match.
Next the ring announcer said that the Interpromotional Hot Body contest was next when Matt Striker's music started and he came out cutting a promo on how we're all perverts. It was funny when he mentioned how he used to live next to people who smoke "the pot" an RVD chant broke out. Anyways, he was hilarious announcing this segment of the show. For example, when Francine came out first and when she entered the ring, she humped the ropes a little bit then Matt Striker ran over and sniffed them. He also introduced Kelly Kelly as liking coloring books, listens to the Wiggles, and her favorite thing to eat is pickles. Jillian Hall and Kristal were in the contest too, with Striker explaining the rules really slowly so all of them could understand them. Then to figure out who goes first, he had them guess a number between 1 and 10 with Kelly guessing L and Kristal guessing 69. At this point Striker gave up and had Francine go first. She's still looking hot after all these years and was wearing a really small bikini. Next was Kristal who was looking quite good and about whom, Striker said gave him the urge to enjoy some "chocolate milk." Jillian Hall was next and did the usual heel not wanting to take it off so Striker had us "convince her" so people in the crowd were offering up money, which she put in her bikini, lol. When she took the robe off, my jaw dropped, out of the 4, she looked the best by far. Last up was Kelly wearing a tiny flesh colored bikini that barely covered her boobs. Kelly wound up winning with Striker needing a recount from the crowd, it was so close between her and Francine. Anyways, of course it broke out into a catfight with Mike Knoxx breaking it up and the Sandman's music hitting. Sandman went all over the arena including right next to me during his entrance. He caned the hell out of Knoxx when Striker came in and they teamed up on him until Dreamer ran in. Dreamer cut a promo on how important Buffalo was to ECW history and that while they couldn't get back intot he Burt Flickinger Center where ECW events used to be held, they couldn't stay out of this area. This led to a short match with Sandman picking up the win after a Russian Leg Sweep (for some reason it wasn't extreme rules though)
intermission time
for some reason they didn't announce when intermission would end so out of nowhere we got Regal getting squashed by Batista in like 3 minutes with like less than half the people back in their seats.
Next was Test vs. Sabu Extreme Rules. Test was getting it hard from the crowd with security needing to walk with him around the ringside area. He started climbing the stairs in front of where I was when I started giving him shit ("Whatever happened to never working for McMahon again? How much did your dignity cost? f*** you Test, f*** you Andrew Martin you goddamn hypocrite."). Unfortunately he didn't turn around but he stood there and took it like a man. It was a decent match with Sabu winning after putting Test through a table in a move that busted open some of Test's backne, which looked awful live.
At this point they announced the main event was next and promised they'd be back and blah blah blah. It was King Booker vs. Lashley in a match that just wasn't very good. At one point early on the crowd started chanting boring at which point Booker went over, called the announcer over, got a microphone and a chair, and said "You want boring, I'll give you boring" and proceeded to unfold the chair and sit in the middle of the ring with Lashley trying not to laugh. Then the crowd started chanting "You suck dick" to which Booker replied "I thought you peasants wanted to see boring, make up your minds" before getting up, tossing the chair/microphone to ringside, and continuing the match. Anyways it ended by DQ with Regal interfering and Lashley beating them both. He then grabbed a chair and started to hit himself in the head with it, trying to be hardcore I guess.
After the show I went out back and got my ticket autographed by Sandman and RVD and got a pic with RVD that I hope comes out well. Lashley was signing autographs too but I don't like him so I didn't bother. Sabu and Regal ignored the crowd. Mr. Kennedy was great, that guy lives his gimmick. He was really funny when refusing to sign for people except when a guy offered him $20 but the guy wanted to write a check that Kennedy said would probably bounce. He also called another guy gay then yelled "Homosexual" the way he says his name in the ring, asked if they sold men's clothes where he bought his shirt, and asked if the guy was going out for Halloween as a "cock goblin." I missed everybody else apparently.
