Tonight tells me that they must have some faith in her to involve her in an angle like this. She actually got some offence in and looked good, think this may be the start of a face push? Hopefully.

Perhaps the better question is - even if she is, will it make any difference the way WWE writes Divas matches and segments?
The "top Diva" is about as useful in kayfabe as any other one. Understand where you're going with this, but imo there really hasn't been a "top Diva" in the WWE since Trish left. At least not one that creative cared to write meaningful, intelligent storylines around.

Then we woudl have two women who can wrestle and some good exciting tag matches.

She may be champion, but after a while she will probably go back to jobbing. I predict her career to be similar to Victoria/Tara career in WWE.

They should have sent Yoshi to Smackdown to team with Jimmy Yang. They hook up with Gail Kim and feud with the Hart Dynasty. Then we would have two women who can wrestle and some good exciting tag matches. Gail has been consistently bad since being in WWE. I think Scott D'Amore deserves alot of credit for putting most of her good matches together in TNA. Her sub-par work in WWE makes me think maybe her TNA run was a fluke. |

Who was the last woman to slap Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania? The woman that would go on to win the Women's Title a record setting 7 times, Trish Stratus. You try working with six month trained former models like Rosa and Alicia and your work would be subpar as well She hasn't wrestled Rosa, and Alicia is more the capable of having good matches with good opponents (Melina, Natala, Katie Lea, Mickie James). Heck, Gail's interaction with Alicia has been some of her most crisp work since returning. Gail's wrestled good wrestlers like Mickie, Michelle and Jillian. While I don't think she's been bad since coming back to WWE, something's up and it can't be blamed solely on her opponents. |

The Womens Division should revolve around Nattie, Beth, Katie Lea, & Gail Kim, with Mickie, Melina, Michelle McCool, and Maryse on the next level, Jillian & Alicia 1 down again, and the rest as jobbers. Give the most talented women the most spotlight & ring time, the models are only pushed cause of their looks (which I dont think are much if any better than the aforementioned women) and are so poor in ring that they will only ever get a reaction for their looks, so may as well be jobbers as it wont affect their reacttions but will at least give the talented ones a chance to get over.

Although Im glad theyre pushing Beth as the main face on Smackdown, whoever is writing the Divas segments is a complete idiot. Even though I think the Beth/Vickie feud has potential if they give them a chance to let it grow beyond 2 minute matches.
