With his participation at WrestleMania 26's Money in the Bank match, Kane broke Bret Hart's previous record of the most consecutive WrestleMania matches with 13.

Interesting little trivia note. Wait, I don't remember him being on the Wrestlemania XIX card. Also, what's his won/loss record for being on 13 'Manias?

Kane was on the WM19 preshow teaming with RVD taking on Morley and Storm for the tag titles. I think that still counts.

Was I the only one rooting for Kane to win MITB?
Everytime he got a shot at the briefcase the fans got into it. He has so much support from the fans for being a veteran, I'm hoping he gets one last run at a world title.
I know he wants to help the young guys, but come on. Just one more shot.

With his participation at WrestleMania 26's Money in the Bank match, Kane broke Bret Hart's previous record of the most consecutive WrestleMania matches with 13. Kane wasn't on XIX. So no go there. Undertaker, I think, is closest now. He's at 10 and counting.

WWE counts any pre-show matches in the record books in the program where they show off the Wrestlemania records in the back each year so it counts to me.
Good job Kane.

The match at XIX was televised on Heat, so I'd count it.

Sorry, Kane. But I don't count dark matches at WM or anywhere else.

A few days before WM 26, WWE.com had an article called "WrestleMania Rookies" which had featured all the wrestlers who were about to compete in their first WM. The Miz was featured in this article and they even specified his involvement in last year's pre-show match as just that, a pre-show match. They made it clear that WM 26 was his first WM. As for Kane at WM 19, his match was officially a Sunday Night HEAT match.

I wish Kane would get another run with a World Title. I know he has stated he's perfectly content in the role he has now and because of that, it shouldn't matter, but I just think he deserves it. It could be a simple 1-2 month role as a transitional champ. I just think when you look back at his career (which to me has been as solid as they come), that 24 hour reign after King of the Ring '98 just seems like it wasn't enough.

I don't think it counts as Miz, Orton, and Diabiase were saying they are in there first WrestleMania this year.
They are not counting dark matches, and no one has ever really counted dark matches before.
So Kane does not get the record.
Great achievment but I presume that's why the WWE did not say anything about it.

I agree that Kane deserves a shot at some point down the line. He's kept himself clean, injury free, and the fans are into him. He held the title once LONG ago (almost makes me wonder if he'd set a record for most time between two title reigns...wait, Backlund probably tops Kane there if that we're to happen, wouldn't he?) so it would be lame not to give him another shot when he has all that going for him.

(almost makes me wonder if he'd set a record for most time between two title reigns...wait, Backlund probably tops Kane there if that we're to happen, wouldn't he?) Actually, no. Backlund lost the title in December 1983 and won it again in November 1994, so that's just a month shy of 11 years, whereas it's been almost 12 now for Kane.

The match at XIX was televised on Heat, so I'd count it. Lance Storm was in that match too, and nobody counts that as a Wrestlemania appearance so why should we do it for Kane?
