Road Dogg was in WCW? You sure you don't mean Buzzkill? I could be wrong though. I didn't watch WCW at the end. I vaguely remember him in a jobberific tag team with one of his brothers. And I remember that they announced him as Brian Armstrong, and he had his dreadlocks back then, too. I have no idea who they faced, nor do I have any other information other than Yes, he did work in WCW at one point, even if it was just for the proverbial cup of coffee.

The "Armstrong Curse", as the magazines would refer to it in the '80s and early '90s, was the fact that they would get shots at the World title but would never find a way to win it.
Bob, a huge star in Alabama (a hotbed of action), would wrestle Harley Race & Ric Flair time and time again, but would never get the belt; it would be either a draw or a screwjob DQ finish. Bob would wrestle Ric where if Bob couldn't win the belt, he would leave the territory. Of course, he'd win, but not the belt, so he had to "leave". In his place was the "mysterious" Bullet - Bob under a mask. Bob would finally get his chance to shine as his masked persona "the Bullet" (the mags would never say Bob was under the mask) and beat Ric in the ring and win the NWA Title, "for my good friend Bob Armstrong". They came up with some sort of rule that masked wrestlers could not win the World title (old Midnight Rider angle replayed) and if Bullet wanted to claim the title, he had to unmask. Bullet would refuse to unmask and allow Ric to walk away still the champion. But, then there would be some sort of technicality that since Bullet did beat the champion cleanly, Bob was allowed to come back. So, the masked Bullet would disappear and "Bullet Bob" Armstrong was back!
At least that's how I refer to how the "Armstrong Curse" began, kayfabe version.
-Brad had many chances as a young up-and-coming superstar, and won many titles, just never won "The Big One". (His team with Tim Horner as "The Lightning Express" was, IMHO, a straight-forward, damn good team. When Tim would hit that dropkick and then Brad would wrap his opponent for the match-ending Russian Legsweep. Exciting stuff.)
-Scott & Steve had chances to win World Tag gold, but were unsuccessful.
That's (at least my) version of the so-called "curse". (Maybe you wrestling historians and fans of old Continental can correct me if I'm wrong.)

I swear this all goes back to a heel wrestler putting a curse on Bob and his whole family.
