Just curious, do you Limp Bizkit defenders realize you're DEFENDING LIMP BIZKIT?

LB is one of the worst bands of all time. Fred Durst's rapping was comically bad. He made Vanilla Ice seem like Chuck D.

Don't forget, Rage Against The Machine was formed in 1991, the Judgment Night soundtrack came out in 1993, featuring only Metal/Rap crossover tracks, and LB was formed in 1995. They didn't lead, they followed. Rage are sheep too, following in the rap/rock greatness of Run-D.M.C. and Aerosmith!

They led the scene of a VERY popular sound in at the time with the rock/rap blend. Don't forget, Rage Against The Machine was formed in 1991, the Judgment Night soundtrack came out in 1993, featuring only Metal/Rap crossover tracks, and LB was formed in 1995. They didn't lead, they followed. There's a difference between rock/rap crossover and Nu-Metal. KoRN were the leaders of this. Realistically speaking the Aerosmith/RunDMC/Anthrax/PublicEnemy/FaithNoMore/JudgementDay etc. hybrids were all just rapping over rock tracks. Rage was rapping over rock tracks with Tom Morello playing the guitar like a turntable. KoRN was the first to produce a rock album like a rap record in terms of how the bass was recorded and mastered.

I don't know, I guess I never saw LB as Nu Metal, at least not in the same League as Korn, Deftones and so on. They always seemed more Pop to me, but I guess they were Nu Metal at least in the beginning.

The latter, in their rap moments, are just rapping over a rock soundscape. Where as Limp, from "Counterfeit" to "Rearranged" to "Boiler" were made to thump in the trunk. This thread is the most I have ever, ever written about Limp Bizkit.

Just curious, do you Limp Bizkit defenders realize you're DEFENDING LIMP BIZKIT? I take no shame in admitting to liking them as a pre-teen. On second thought...I kind of do take shame in admitting that.
