notoriousjrh's Wrestlemania I thread got me thinking, what was the best Wrestlemania out of 1-5? I personally would have to say III, just because I still can't wrap my head around how Hogan was able to lift the 7,000,0000,0000,00 pound Andre the Giant on a broken leg, strained arm, and shattered back in front of 5 billion screaming Hulkamaniacs Brother! Seriously I pick 3 though just for Steamboat vs. Savage, one of my all-time favorite matches.

Not saw them for a few years at least now (I have the original Mania box set back at my old home VHS 1-15) but I'd vote for WM 3.

Has to be three from the options, but all of the first five Wrestlemanias have their nostalgic merits.

III. It is the template for every big show any promotion in the US, Japan or Mexico has done ever since it aired.

III is the best, but since 5 was the first I saw, it holds the most meaning for me.

Wrestlemania III is best of that group. It's the one that made Mania truely huge.

Wrestlemania 4. It's the only one I've seen all the way through, I've only seen highlights of the others on this list. But, I've watched it many times and still enjoy it. It's very underrated.

I think Wrestlemania III because of 3 factors: The atmosphere, Steamboat/Savage, and Andre/Hogan.

While I really enjoyed WMIV's tournament and other matches, WMIII seals the deal on this one.

I liked 4 except for Hogan having to be involved in the finish. At the time I felt happy to see the title on someone other than Hogan.I also enjoy tournament style PPV's and that one had all the great WWF stars at the time.

III was the most historically signifigant and had two of the most memorable matches of all time, but I liked IV better, mainly for sentimental reasons because it was the first Wrestlemania I saw.
III has to get my vote, though.
And why wasn't Bob Uecker brought back after WMIV? I thought he did a great job.
