But seriously, I'm going on a local wrestling type rant now. One of my favorite wrestlers as a kid was "Gentleman" Chris Adams. This was after the World Class era had ended, but in the early 90's, Adams was one of the headliners of the various feds that ran in the Sportatorium. I watched him for years live and of course I got my hands on some World Class tapes eventually as well.
Someone asked JR if he thought Adams would ever be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and JR responded in his blog with this:
On Gentleman Chris Adams in the Hall of Fame: Someone wanted to know if I thought Gentleman Chris Adams would ever go in the WWE HOF. Beats me but if I had a vote he wouldn't get it. Chris had talent and was a star for a time in World Class without question. Some could also argue that the best thing that Adams ever did was to teach Steve Austin the ropes back in the day. However, a guy who had a history of battering women won't get my vote...if I had one. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Uhhhhhhhhh....JR, think about who your buddy is. Hell you mentioned him in that very paragraph you hypocritical BBQ making Okie!
Now I love JR, and Austin as well. But come on dude. Seriously?

It's pretty obvious there that JR is forgetting the OTHER thing that Steve learned from Chris Adams, how to backhand a woman.

well to put it into context, (and I'm not trying to justify anything Austin did) but from Chris Adams wiki: "In April 2000, Adams and his girlfriend of four months were both found unconscious inside a friend's apartment, the victims of an overdose of the drug GHB and alcohol. Adams recovered, but his girlfriend died at a local hospital ten hours later. Over a year later, Adams was indicted on a manslaughter charge, but on October 7, 2001, while awaiting trial, he was fatally shot in the chest during a drunken brawl with a friend at the man's Texas home. The gun owner claimed self-defense and was found innocent of all charges"

Ross always was and always will be just a political office boy showing favoritism. It runs rampant in the world of wrestling.
What I loved was during an episode of Legends of Wrestling Rountable on wwe 24/7 about Giant in the business. All the panelists are destroying Giant Gonzales and how crappy he was in the ring.. Calling him "El Stinko" and how he was an attraction and never drew money... Yet.. They praise the Great Khali? LOL!! Great stuff. Double Standards and hypocrisy is all over the place

I'm not sure about being a hypocrite, but he definately didn't word that all too well.
That said, both JR and Austin both basically called Adams a con man and had very little nice to say about him, so I guess they have more than just the one reason for disliking the guy.

Yeah I don't think this is the first time JR has shown hypocrisy on a subject, still love him and his blogs though.

What if it turned out that Debra was not a woman, but a man in a dress?

Yeah, thats pretty hypocritical. No, no, no... See, Austin has a history of beating women, while Adams has a history of battering women. It's not the same.

Between this and the Heath Ledger remark at WM25, it's safe to say my respect for JR had dwindled slightly

I think his feelings about Debra might blind him to the fact that it was still very wrong of Steve Austin to have beaten her. Supposedly Steve never had any problems with his previous wife, and Debra had a reputation within WWE for being somewhat of a shrew.

I don't care if she was a Neo Nazi, you don't beat a woman (especially when you're a 250 pound pro wrestler).

Hitting someone isn't the same as having a history of battering women.

Between this and the Heath Ledger remark at WM25, it's safe to say my respect for JR had dwindled slightly What remark? Rey Mysterio had dressed up as Ledger's Joker for a match at WM25. Upon this being referenced at the commentary table, JR said something along the line of "At least Rey's career is alive and well." Not the most offensive thing I've ever heard, but I could see why some people were upset. JR did apologise for it within the next week.
