I'm relatively sure that RVD will be defeating Big Show at the first ECW PPV (he's the only ECW wrestler over enough to do this, except for Sabu) and regain the title back. But that brings up an interesting question: Who will be the top heel that RVD (or whoever) will face AFTER Big Show?
ECW can either build up a heel they already have, bring someone over from another brand/farm fed/promotion, or turn one of their babyface wrestlers. Big Show won't be as effective a heel without the title (just the fact that he has it pissed off fans of the old ECW) and eventually people will get tired of RVD vs. Show.
So, who does everyone think will be ECW's next top heel?

They should let Striker try and be a top heel.

From what's gonig on in current storylines, I think it's going to be Hardcore Holly.

Well, supposedly the original plan was for RVD's first feud to be with Test over the ECW World Championship, so that's a strong possibility. But I honestly can't see Test being THE top heel for a WWE brand. If he was built up then it might possibly work, but I don't think WWE will feed him wrestler after wrestler.

To put things in perspective, here are ECW's current heel wrestlers (and a few tweeners) besides Big Show:
Kevin Thorn Christopher W. Anderson Danny Doring Hardcore Holly Justin Credible Matt Striker Mike Knox Test Stevie Richards Rene Dupree Shannon Moore

I can dream but... Stevie? I truly think that Stevie will get a push (or semi-push) in ECW. If they run with the "ECW traitor" angle he could get a lot of heat.

Personally, I think that Terkay should join ECW (with a manager to talk for him) and be built up as a monster. I'm talking about a "Path of Rage" type of push.

That's a worse choice than Big Show.

To put things in perspective, here are ECW's current heel wrestlers (and a few tweeners) besides Big Show: Kevin Thorn Christopher W. Anderson Danny Doring Hardcore Holly Justin Credible Matt Striker Mike Knox Test Stevie Richards Rene Dupree Shannon Moore Lets go down the list: Thorn is a dark horse candidate right now, as he's had no interaction with any of the "top" guys, and might be tied up with Balls for a while. Holly will most likely have moved on by the time RVD gets the title, although a feud with Sabu wouldn't be out of the question. Stevie might be a candidate if they don't make him the scapegoat for Heyman's new breed guys. Knox and Test are better suited for the tag team division if it ever gets going. Striker and Dupree are both likely choices, Striker moreso than Dupree. I think we can rule out Doring, Anderson, Credible, and Moore for obvious reasons. So, Holly, Striker, and Dupree may be hanging around a while and will likely continue to get pushed. Matt Striker, ECW World Champion. Hmmm... There are worse things.

Striker/RVD feud would be great if only because we'd get to hear Striker say "smoking the pot" again.

I'd like to see Striker as a wrestler/manager. He's good on the mic and could help some wrestlers get over. He might even make a decent color commentator.

Speaking of drugs, it would be a good idea to turn CM Punk heel somewhere down the road and program him against RVD. That feud would write itself--pot-smoker vs. straight-edger.

Shelton Benjamin --- he hasn't been on raw in quite a white
current roster: Test, Bob Holly, and Kevin Thorn
really shows that ECW needs some decent heels
