That Rock em Sock em rookies really jumped the shark for me. I didn't even watch the rest of the program.

Too bad, you missed a great triple threat match between Sheffield, Tarver, and Young.

Danielson Bryanson made a comment on his WWE blog about how many fans had told him how stupid the jousting was, so its not like its just us. What got me, was that during Superstars, they actually had this serious promo package for the NXT recap about the jousting.

week after week NXT is getting worse and entering into more wrestlecrap. Makes the AWA Team Challenge Series actually look good.
As of right now the front runner of the gooker has to be NXT, that or the new WWE Comic series.

When it first started out NXT was a fun enjoyable show to watch. But ever since the Pro's Poll, they have spent most of the show, doing stupid activities with the rookies. While the keg-karry challenge wasnt too bad to watch, they then did the talking challenge, which was just terrible to watch. And then the Rock em Sock em challenge was just woeful, it reeked of stupidity.
I am slowing getting away from watching NXT, as week by week it is getting more and more appauling to watch.

For something that started out so great and as such a cool concept, it made a quick downturn when they decided to turn it into the male equivalent of the Diva Search by having them waste so much time doing stupid competitions that have little, if anything, to do with winning a spot in the WWE.
I mean, I don't think they throw up the old joust stands or bring out a keg to run around with down in FCW to see who earns the next callup. But hey, what do I know. What they were doing the first several weeks was working just fine IMO.
I don't think it is now or will be Gooker worthy, considering there is still 8 months left of RAW this year. There's bound to be something far worse coming down the line at some point. This is more of just a case of what could have been so awesome becoming so average. Which is pretty much par for the course for most WWE concepts that start out looking and/or sounding great.

No.
When they start "eating" pies with their ass or dressing in drag with the intention of seducing Kamala, then by all means call it the 2010 Gooker.
Right now it's no worse than what is on Raw pretty much every week.

But the second the NXT rookies are on TV trying to seduce Kamala, I will give it the award.

When they do a Miss America type talent contest, NXT will be Gooker worthy.

I have watched exactly ONE episode of NXT. Even then I was left feeling... Serioiusly, when ABC's V makes more sense/is a better watch than the product NXT presents you know it's bad.

actually, i think it would be far more appropriate to induct the wwe's blatant abuse of mickie james as the gooker winner. nxt hasn't quite gotten that pathetic yet.

I feel that WWE basically dropped the interesting ideas they had the moment they realized ratings were slipping and started trying to do more "casual" stuff as if they might hook in "reality TV" fans. Perhaps they'll realize that all the wrestling scared off causal fans and now the goofy stuff is chasing off wrestling fans.
Do I think NXT is Gooker-Worthy? No. Not at all. But, then again, it seems that voters never give TNA the attention they deserve so if the hate builds enough it could win.

I don't see why they need to make all these contests when they have so much to do that could involve actual wrestling.
The battle royal where the winner got to host monday night raw, now THAT was a nice competition. And now it's a stupid stick fight where the winner gets something of himself on wwe.com? Does anyone honestly care?
By all means have competitions, but make them wrestling related. Make interesting matches with actuall outcome.

Funny, I was thinking this past Monday's Raw might qualify for the Gooker, what with the pathetic on-the-fly booking and painful MacGruber segments.

Not Gooker worthy yet. That Jerry Springer segment on RAW (2/15) is still the frontrunner.

I tend to think the Gooker should be some major, overarching thing instead of just one stupid segment - to that end, I might support NXT as a whole for it just for how far it's fallen (especially if Bryan wins without winning a single match like it looks like he will), but then I still maintain that the Triple H / Randy Orton feud should have been the runaway winner last year.

I'm sure it goes beyond this, but I posted a thread almost immediately after Mickie's release, asking when/if the Piggie James angle would be inducted. And I stopped watching NXT after about 4 episodes, for the record.

NXT as a whole, from day one, has been gooker-worthy. Had they done it the way it was initially rumored, i.e. something akin to "The Ultimate Fighter" leading into UFC, it would have had some potential. As it stands, it's just one more way Vince is insulting our intelligence week in and week out.
