In similar fashion to the Random WCW thoughts post on this board, post your thoughts and memories in your head about the old ECW.
- I always loved how the wrestlers entrance themes were by real bands.
- Why did New Jack's music have to play the whole way through out his matches? This became very annoying in the later ECW DVDs where it's been dubbed over with some generic song. So poorly dubbed that the commentary and crowd noise is dubbed to.
- Rhino was a really angry man wasn't he? Although telling New Jack he was going to make him s*** his own face out is still one of the best promos I've ever heard. Rhino, you are the f***ing man.
- Sandman's entrance is fantastic. Too bad his in-ring skills are non-existant.
- I always loved Justin Credible's name and awesome catchphrase. Because, hey, it's not just the coolest and it's not just the best, it's Justin Credible!
- RVD vs Jerry Lynn @ Hardcore Heaven 1999 is a perfect match.
- Bubba Ray Dudley shooting on the crowd at Heatwave 1999 is damn good. Things get really heated and are borderline hostile but it's so good. He really tears some of them to pieces.
- Dawn Marie was hotter than Francine but in the grand scale of things the ECW women always looked so rough compared to WWE and WCW's women.
- For some reason I always found myself marking for Steve Corino. Looking back he wasn't great but I seemed to really like him at the time. And a mention for Jack Victory... "HIGH SPOT!!"
- "ECW...... Simon has a problem..."
- Jerry Lynn writing "DIE" on his chest using Steve Corino's own blood seeping from his head at Heatwave 2000 was a mark out moment and a bit freaky if I'm honest.
- The Sinister Minister was a great gimmick and a great manager.
- The ECW games on the PS1 were so disappointing when it was obvious they were just the WWF Attitude game engine with ECW guys.
- I never really liked Joel Gertner and didn't find him all that funny but I did mark when he showed up at One Night Stand 2005.
- "OH MY GOD!!!"
- Brian Pillman's debut promo in ECW back in 1996 is a joy to behold.
- As is Steve Austin's shoot promo on Bischoff, Dusty and all of WCW.
- The Mass Transit incident is brutal.
- Even as a Catholic myself, I actually enjoyed Raven crucifying The Sandman.
- Kid Kash's suicide dive onto a crowd of about 40 wrestlers the night he beat Rhino for the TV Title is truly epic!
- Sabu is, was and forever will be the craziest motherf***ing wrestler I've ever seen.
- Spike Dudley took the best bumps in the business. Just watch him take on Mike Awesome for the ECW Title at Guilty as Charged 2000 and watch him go through countless tables.
- The 3 way dance between Tajiri, Super Crazy and Little Guido is my favourite match from ECW One Night Stand 2005.
- I never understood with such a huge arsenal of impressive moves, why is RVD's finishing move crap in comparison? Can't he come up with something more exciting and innovating than a frog splash?
- I always thought RVD's promo skills were lacking. Fonzy did most the talking anyway and RVD was often to out his head on weed to know what was going on.
- Hey remember when Tazz was Taz and he actually wrestled? AND was actually a wrecking machine in the ring? Good days. *sigh*
- Roadkill and Danny Doring were such a random, strange and odd looking tag team weren't they?
- I don't really associate Steve Austin with ECW as much as WWE does. He was only there for a few months between his WCW firing and being picked up by WWE.
- New Jack and Vic Grimes bump off the scaffolding @ Living Dangerously 2000..... God Damn!!
- Balls Mahoney + Table + Fire = OH HELL YEAH!
- The only crowd that can compete with an ECW Crowd is the audience at MSG.
- "EC-DUB! EC-DUB! EC-DUB!!"
