He might have to, just because most of the other relatively top guys are currently working babyface. Christian, Kofi, Undertaker, Mysterio, and it looks like Big Show just turned.
He was better as a heel, but that was because he had JBL riding his jock every step of the way, putting him over HARD, while he was totally deflated on Raw. I'm sure Hayes' team would do a better job with the guy, but I'm still not convinced he's star material either way. Upper midcarder to hog the US or IC title? Sure. Main eventer? I still don't buy it.

I really hope he does, i loved him as a heel and found myself not caring as much for him when he turned face, especially when he was teaming with mark henry.

I said no, mainly because my interest in him has went from "can't miss" to "eh, he'll lose".

Would I rather see him face or heel? Neither ... I'd rather see them release him. I know that's a little harsh, but I can just never bring myself to get behind him.

YES! MVP was at his best when he was a heel. He was a perfect natural. He was a cocky, chickenshit heel, but he put a new spin on it. Instead of cheating or running from his challenger, he distracted them with things like Football Throwing Contests and all that. He was detirmened to put the Tag Titles first because he didn't want Matt to beat him. Then, after teasing a face turn, he demolished Matt. It was great. When Matt got one over on him, his respone would always be "Never happened." I loved everything about his character as a heel.

MVP has the talent to recover from what was without question a dismal, uneventful run on RAW. But as a babyface, his talent is squandered. Heel turn, asap!

Yes. I originally became a huge MVP fan when he was a heel on Smackdown doing the feuding and stuff with Matt Hardy.

Yes, too many faces on Smackdown and he desperately needs a new direction.

I think he will turn heel again, yes. I'm a massive fan of his, my current fave in WWE at the moment and has been since around 2006. I like him both heel and face and I think he does both well. Yes, he's a better heel but that's only cause they booked him better. If he was the exact same way as a face, and was getting wins, he would be better. I'm just glad he's on Smackdown again. I marked absolutely huge when I saw it. I had my fingers crossed he would be the last draft pick, cause I was absolutely SURE it would be somebody like Yoshi Tatsu or somebody.
MVP has the talent in the ring and on the mic, he's got all the tools to become THE guy on Smackdown. Now that there is nobody stopping him from breaking out, this may just be his time. All I can say is, MVP was very lucky to get off that trainwreck that be's on USA Network every monday night at 8. Wait... what am I saying? He never even got on the show.
With Mysterio, Kingston, Christian, Undertaker, Big Show, Hardy, and Kane as the faces on Smackdown. It seems likely that they'll turn him heel in a while. I don't know how, but it will happen, I'm sure. I have to say this though - pairing him up with Mark Henry for no reason other than they're two black guys who wear red was quite possibly one of the worst decisions in recent history. They had NOTHING in common apart from their skin color. And Mark Henry wearing his attire's was extremely cringeworthy.

Possibly, since there are already so many top faces. Plus, he'd get that old cocky attitude back that we love so much.

I don't see how Smackdown has tons of top babyfaces.
Taker - Isn't on a full time schedule, plus can barely move.
Mysterio - Always a whiney bitch when it comes to money, so who knows how longer he will still be around.
That leaves Christian, Kofi, and Hardy. Kofi's been booked like shit since the Orton feud, Christian hasn't had much meaningful TV time since ECW ended. And Hardy's been booked like a total jobber.
The Big Show may have just turned, but with his history, he could turn heel again next week.
For the heels you have Punk, Swagger, McIntire, Ziggler, Rhodes. That's a lot right there.
